Tuesday NBA Playoff Parlay: New York, New York

Our NBA predictions have been on fire, delivering consistent wins as we closed the regular season. I’m back and ready to regain this momentum with the continuation of the high-stakes second-round playoff games on Tuesday evening.

Our Tuesday doubleheader starts at 8:00 p.m. ET with a clash between Jalen Brunson’s New York Knicks and Tyrese Haliburton’s Indiana Pacers at MSG. The second matchup features a showdown of Western Conference giants, with the defending champion Denver Nuggets hosting Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Get ready, as I’ve secured the top spots on Tuesday for our NBA picks and parlay bet. The playoff atmosphere is ablaze with these two second-round matchups set to tip, both knotted up at 2-2. Remember, when the series is tied 2-2, the winner of Game 5 has gone on to win 82% of best-of-7 series in NBA history. Tonight is a game-changer for these four teams.

I will adhere to our winning strategy, which has proven successful all season, and construct our best NBA parlay today using ATS NBA picks and player props. I’ve meticulously reviewed all the odds and have assembled a three-leg parlay. While you could certainly do a ton of your own research, the beauty is that I’ve already done that legwork for you. Let’s dive into the top NBA picks for tonight.

Knicks PG Jalen Brunson Over 32½ Points (-106)

The New York Knickerbockers will host the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 tonight, and I’m going with the chalk with our first leg. The Knicks were locked in against the 76ers in the first round, and they brought that tenacity into Games 1 and 2 against the Pacers. There have been plenty of twists and turns in the playoffs so far. However, the one constant has been Jalen Brunson. People are beginning to count out this Knicks team, but I expect Brunson to be ready for tonight’s challenge.

Brunson made history in this postseason, pouring in 39, 47, 40, 41, and 43 points over a five-game stretch. He became the first player in NBA history to score 39 or more points while shooting 45% or better in five straight playoff games! His 210 total points in this span are the most in a five-game playoff sample since Michael Jordan in 1993.

The Knicks simply can not afford to lose this game and go down 2-3 with the series heading back to Indiana for Game 6.

I expect the Knicks to come out and play with their patented intensity and tenacity in Game 5. The Knicks hosted the Pacers twice at MSG during the regular season, and Brunson scored 39 and 40 points. He scored 43 and 29 points at home in this series. It’s no secret that the Pacers’ defense is porous in the paint. They allowed the second-most points in the paint per game, behind only the Washington Wizards.

During the regular season, Brunson scored a team-high 11.6 points per game in the paint. The Pacers also allowed the most free throw attempts per game, and Brunson led all Knicks in this column. He averaged 6.5 free throw attempts during the regular season, which has jumped to 10 FTA in the playoffs. If he can get back the stripe at will, I expect him to exceed this line again. I’m banking on Brunson.

Knicks ML (-125) vs Pacers

The Knicks had the sixth-best home record in the league and went 27-7 as a home favorite. I trust the Knickerbockers to take this important game at home and the series lead. The Knicks were the second-best team in the NBA after a loss at 22-12-1. You could lay the points, but I’m taking the moneyline because these games tend to be tight. Over the last 10 seasons, favorites have gone 28-11, but just 18-21 ATS in Game 5’s.

The Pacers just handed the Knicks a demoralizing loss in Game 4 when they won by 32 points. My expectation is that the Knicks come back home angry and eager to deliver some payback. A trend that jumps out tonight favoring the Knicks is that teams that were blown out in Game 4 come back with a vengeance in Game 5.

Over the last 23 instances, teams that lost by at least seven points in Game 4 have gone 14-9 overall and 17-6 ATS in Game 5. I’ll admit my fandom makes me want the Knicks to win, but the numbers back it up. This is a must-win game, and I expect the Knicks to make plenty of adjustments after watching the films from Games 3 and 4.

Here’s a look at some NBA odds to consider!

Timberwolves (+1) First Quarter at Nuggets

With our third leg, I’m loading up a first-quarter wager on the Timberwolves in Game 5 on the road. First-quarter bets can be tricky, but Minnesota has its backs against the wall and must jump out to a hot start early if it wants any chance to keep this game close. The Nuggets have all the momentum after taking both games on the road and shocking Minnesota.

The Timberwolves are going to be eager to return the favor. Denver won Game 4 by eight points, and teams that lost by seven or more points in Game 4 have gone 17-6 ATS in Game 5 over the last 23 attempts. The Timberwolves have proven they can win in Denver, but we’re just asking them to keep the first quarter within one point. Howl with the Wolves tonight!
