Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets: Bank on RJ Barrett, Anthony Davis

The NBA In-Season Tournament did not disappoint last night. The Quarterfinals started with an exciting upset as the Indiana Pacers took down the Boston Celtics behind a triple-double from Tyrese Haliburton. Boston were the favorites to win the tournament before being eliminated. According to the latest odds, the Milwaukee Bucks are the new favorites to win the Tournament as we head into tonight. We have two Quarterfinal matchups set to tip off on Tuesday, and I’m back to deliver the expert NBA picks for them.

The second matchup in the knockout round on Monday night also saw an upset as the New Orleans Pelicans went into Sacramento and defeated the Kings behind a 30-point performance from Brandon Ingram. The two home teams are the favorites on NBA moneylines tonight.

We are nearly a quarter of the way into the season, so we have some new trends developing from every team. Some teams are off to slow starts and some surprising ones, but, as always, there are plenty of player props to select from. On Tuesday, the pair of In-Season Tournament games feature the Milwaukee Bucks hosting the New York Knicks, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Phoenix Suns. Last night, our NBA player prop bets split down the middle, but tonight, I’m looking for the sweep.

The TNT doubleheader tips off in Milwaukee, where the Bucks (14-6) are 5-point favorites over the Knicks (12-7). New York is riding a three-game winning streak, and the first time these two faced off this season, Milwaukee won a close battle, 110-105.

The second game features the Lakers (12-9) at home against the new look Suns (12-8). Los Angeles is currently a 1½-point favorite, and this will mark the third time these two have faced off this season. The Lakers won both previous head-to-heads.

You may be familiar with my NFL picks, and I handicap the NBA player prop market similarly. My research will always back up the reasoning behind my NBA prop bets. Now that the stage is set let’s dive into Tuesday’s best NBA player prop bets. Best of luck if you tail!

Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Props

Immanuel Quickley Over 13.5 Points

One of my favorite things about betting on Immanuel Quickley is that he is blowout-proof. I mentioned this last week. While I don’t expect the game between the Knicks and Bucks to be a blowout, it’s still nice to know we have that security.

The Bucks are feeling the loss of Jrue Holiday on the defensive end, allowing the sixth-most points per game to opposing point guards. Damian Lillard is a clear upgrade on the scoring end, but the Bucks continue to struggle to slow down opposing guards. If Jaylen Brunson or RJ Barrett get into any foul trouble, Quickley will see a boost in minutes. Quickley is among the favorites to win Sixth Man of the Year this season, and I expect him to play a significant role tonight.

He scored 14 points in the prior matchup versus the Bucks. He has exceeded this line in 10 of 15 games over the last month. I’m rolling with Quickley with confidence.

RJ Barrett Over 16.5 Points

I usually wouldn’t do this, but I like the spot and the number way too much on both Barrett and Quickley tonight.

For how bad the Bucks have been defending point guards, they are even worse at slowing down opposing shooting guards. Milwaukee is allowing the second-most points per game to opposing shooting guards.

Barrett has been hovering around this line over the last few games, but he has hit this line in 9 of 14 games overall this season. Barrett has faced Milwaukee 11 times in his career during the regular season and has exceeded this line in nine of those matchups.

Anthony Davis Over 25.5 Points

It’s not often I agree with Stephen A. Smith, but Anthony Davis is a rollercoaster. Tonight, I expect we will see him at the peak of the ride. While many people are backing LeBron James tonight, I’m pivoting to the other superstar, AD.

James and Davis are looking to make a statement, and it is clear LeBron wants to be the first to win the In-Season Tournament. The Lakers have gone balls to the wall in their first four Tournament games as LeBron wants to add another trophy to his illustrious career.

Los Angeles is 4-0 in the tournament thus far, and I expect them to play extremely hard again tonight in hopes of advancing to the semifinals to face the New Orleans Pelicans.

Phoenix has been tough for opposing centers, but they have allowed the fifth-most points per game to opposing power forwards. The Suns allow the seventh-fewest fast break points, so I expect Davis to get the ball in the post against Jusuf Nurkic. He will make easy work of the Suns’ big man.

The Suns allow the seventh-most points per game in the paint, so I believe The Brow will be the focal point of the Lakers attack. Fire up Anthony Davis!
