Utah Jazz vs Golden State Warriors Game Preview, Odds, Picks & Predictions
Jazz Take Five-Game Road Losing Streak into Golden State
The Utah Jazz snapped a five-game losing streak but remain on a five-game road losing streak. The struggle has seen them fall down to a tie for the fifth seed with the Denver Nuggets. Another loss puts them down to No. 6.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors slipped to the No. 3 seed after losing their last four games and seven of their last eight.

Which of these Western Conference squads can turn it around?

Jazz Having Trouble Staying Consistent
Utah has always been a questionable contender. Some analysts believed that they could win the West if everything went right while many others felt that they weren’t going to make much noise.
As the playoffs approach, it looks like they are stuck in the middle of this debate. They started out 28-10 before following that up with a 3-11 stretch a few weeks later.
The only true constant for the team has been Donovan Mitchell. The guard has done it all on offense with 26.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
The good news is they got some of their depth back as Rudy Gobert returned on Tuesday while Bojan Bogdanovic returned on Thursday. The Jazz need both of them to play well in this one to take down the Warriors.
No Steph Curry, No Success
This Warriors losing streak isn’t because they are playing tough opponents or having a hard time finding their identity; it’s because Steph Curry hasn’t been playing.
Arguably the greatest shooter in league history has missed the last handful of games with a foot injury and isn’t expected to return before the playoffs.
This leaves Golden State with a lot less star power to work with – especially with Klay Thompson still working his way back from numerous injuries on the floor.
Jordan Poole has taken on the majority of the offensive responsibilities and has done well. This year he averages 18.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
This squad has dropped four straight and is now just a half-game up on the Dallas Mavericks for fourth in the West. Dropping lower is not ideal if they want to make a serious playoff run.
Jazz vs Warriors Head-to-Head
Golden State easily won both of the first two matchups against the Jazz this season.
Utah did get the best of them in the third game, which gives them the opportunity to tie up the season series with a win here.

Jazz vs Warriors Prediction
Utah showed the world it is still competitive even though the Jazz are struggling. That 13-point win surprisingly covered the spread against the Los Angeles Lakers in their most recent contest.
They will be looking at a closer spread in this one as they are favored by 1.5 points in the sportsbook. The Jazz will be without Hassan Whiteside but that isn’t nearly the loss that Curry is to Golden State.
The game will be close if this past month has been any indication, Utah has shown more recently that they can win and have more star power with Curry out of commission. The Jazz also got some bodies back with Gobert and Bogdanovic this week.
The Jazz are a dicey bet on the road but they’re the best option for NBA picks here.
