The last time these teams met, the Houston Rockets ended a 15-game losing streak against the Golden State Warriors. NBA predictions are leaning toward the Rockets in this matchup, but the Warriors are coming into this game looking like the better team.

Even though the Rockets are the higher seed in the Western Conference, the Warriors have been playing much better since they acquired Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline.

The Rockets’ struggles have been exacerbated by injuries with Fred VanVleet missing the last six games and Alperen Sengun dealing with a back injury. When looking at the BetUS sportsbook, the line favors the Rockets, but the Warriors have a chance to spring the upset.

Warriors vs Rockets Free NBA Parlay Picks

  • Leg 1: ATS Warriors +6.5

The Warriors will host this year’s All-Star game, but they are in the middle of a seven-game road trip. Before the start of the All-Star break, they will need to play back-to-back games on the road. On the other hand, the Rockets are also on a back-to-back but will get to host both.

That makes a lot of sense because the NBA spread favors the Rockets, as this could be a schedule loss for the Warriors. The Warriors will be away from home and ready for the break. The Rockets didn’t cover in winning their last two games, and covered only two spreads during their six-game slide.

In the first two games Butler played for the Warriors, they won and covered. The Warriors also want to keep this momentum, which will help them cover the spread. Despite that, they lost their last game 111-107 to the Dallas Mavericks as the favorite.

Pick: ATS Warriors +6.5

  • Leg 2: Warriors Over 217 vs Rockets

The over/under in this game is more complicated for NBA picks. While the Warriors have hit the over in seven of their last 10 games, the Rockets have a strong defense.

However, despite having the fourth-best defensive rating in the league (109.7), the Rockets ranked 21st (121) during their losing streak. Their defense has struggled lately, and it won’t get better in the final game before the break. That should lead to the over as the Rockets try to keep up with the Warriors’ offense.

Pick: Warriors Over 217 vs Rockets

  • Leg 3: Stephen Curry Over 4.5 Made 3s

Something has seemingly clicked for Stephen Curry, even before the Warriors added Butler. In the two games before Butler played, Curry scored 32 and 37 points. Then, when Butler joined the starting lineup, Curry’s scoring continued, with 34 and 38 points.

It’s not hard to find out why he has been so hot when he has made at least six 3s in all those games. Curry also took 70 3s in those four games, but the way that Butler can open the floor for him is a big reason. In the loss to the Mavericks, his stats dipped, going 4 for 13 from 3.

Pick: Stephen Curry Over 4.5 Made 3s

  • Leg 4: Amen Thompson 2+ Steals (-167)

This season, Amen Thompson has repeatedly proven to be one of the top defenders in the league. His play has sometimes headlined NBA news, like his triple-double against the Suns, in which he also got two steals. He averages 1.4 steals per game and is constantly in passing lanes. The Warriors are still figuring out how to play with Butler, which could lead to more turnovers, 16 in the loss to the Mavericks.

Pick: Amen Thompson 2+ Steals (-167)
