Game 1’s in the books. And this Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets series is already feeling like it’s the NBA Finals. And if your heart rate still hasn’t come down? Good, you’re watching the NBA playoffs the right way.

Now, with Houston looking to punch back after coughing up a loss at home, let’s take a look at tonight’s NBA betting lines and figure out where the best bets are hiding.

Warriors vs Rockets NBA Playoffs Prediction

The Warriors took Game 1 outright, and while it’s no secret that point guard Steph Curry and shooting forward Jimmy Butler will try to get theirs again, I see Houston flipping the script for my NBA game predictions. This is a must-win for the Rockets, and they’ve got a clear advantage under the rim with a bigger lineup. We only saw a glimpse of that, but expect it to be their focal point. Rockets 101, Warriors 96.

  • Warriors: 16-11 ATS as underdog.
  • Rockets: 16-14 ATS after a loss.

Warriors vs Rockets Best NBA Player Props Today

  • Buddy Hield Over 5.5 Points (-114)

If anyone’s been playing well below expectations, it’s Warriors SG Buddy Hield and I’m backing him to bounce back and score over 5.5 points to lead off my NBA prop bets today. After back-to-back playoff games with just two points, and with the Rockets likely zeroing in on Butler and Curry, the cards are in Hield’s favor to find some open looks and knock down a couple of triples at the very least.

  • Fred VanVleet 3+ Threes (-141)

The Rockets’ perimeter shooting in Game 1 was about as reliable as basement Wi-Fi – and that’s being generous. That’s why, for more NBA picks today, I’m backing PG Fred VanVleet to snap out of it and hit 3+ triples. After clanking 2-of-13 from deep last time out, VanVleet is due for a redemption game, and I like his odds of heating up early and getting Houston’s offense back on track.

  • Draymond Green Over 7.5 Points (-127)

After Curry and Butler stole the show in Game 1, the Rockets are going to amp up the pressure, which means PF Draymond Green needs to step up offensively. We all know he’s not exactly a go-to scorer, but Green always seems to find himself wide open for layups or spot-up jumpers. After finishing with just four points last time, I’m betting he clears 7.5 tonight for my final NBA prop pick tonight.

Warriors vs Rockets Moneyline Pick

Look, the NBA latest news has the Rockets as the favorites, and while you can bet Golden State won’t go down easy, I’m seeing Houston bouncing back for redemption on its home floor. Yes, the Rockets might not have the Warriors’ veteran leadership, but their height advantage and rebounding could be the key to swinging the series in their favor. Expect them to take full advantage of that tonight and dominate the boards.

Bet on Rockets ML (-165)

Warriors vs Rockets Spread Pick

The NBA spread might not look too appealing this time, but I still like the Rockets to clean up on the moneyline and spread. They were robbed on their home court after leading for most of the game – up by 20 at one point – only to blow it. With that in mind, I see Houston using that as motivation to keep its foot on the gas and aim to dismantle Golden State’s offense.

Bet on Houston -3.5 (-110)

Warriors vs Rockets Over/Under Pick

Game 1 hit on the under, and I’m not jumping ship now. Even with all the scoring talent on the floor, I’m betting on Houston’s defense to set the tone, and amp up the intensity before the series heads to the Bay Area. Not to mention, with the Rockets likely gluing themselves to Curry and Butler the second those two touch the floor, that kind of pressure should slow down the scoring.

Bet on Warriors vs Rockets Under 204.5 (-110)
