Western Conference Clash Could Provide Seeding Shakeup
The Golden State Warriors have been one of the best teams in the Western Conference. They are the No. 3 seed but only one game ahead of the fourth-seeded Dallas Mavericks.
With Steph Curry out of the lineup, they fell into a bad losing stretch. Since then, they have won three in a row to rebound before the playoffs. Now they need another win and cover versus the NBA odds to secure their No. 3 spot.
The San Antonio Spurs are 12 games under .500 but have picked up momentum as the playoffs have approached. This crew has won seven of its last nine games overall coming into this one.
Will San Antonio cover in the sportsbook or are the Warriors the better option for your NBA picks? Let’s take a closer look.
Let’s check the latest NBA Picks, stats, injury reports, and NBA Odds for Warriors vs Spurs. We’ve plenty of NBA Predictions.
Warriors Without Best Guards
The Warriors have often been named the team with the best backcourt in the league. Some have said it is the best shooting tandem in league history. Well, for this game, we won’t be seeing either of them.
Curry remains out for the rest of the regular season with a foot injury that he suffered a week ago. Klay Thompson, has just been ruled out with a minor injury.
With both of these guys out, expect almost all of the defensive pressure to fall on Jordan Poole. Poole is really the only consistent shot creator on the roster with those players not available.
He has averaged 18.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists. If he has a bad game, Golden State could find themselves in a lot of trouble.
Spurs Have Makeshift Lineup
The Spurs are definitely in that awkward stage of their roster where they are not entirely rebuilding but not tanking either. Right now, their lineup is being changed consistently due to the injuries that are spread across the organization.
Dejounte Murray, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson and Jakob Poeltl are all listed as out for the moment. Johnson and Murray are the team’s best scoring options with Poeltl being their best rebounder.
If San Antonio is looking for another win to add to their collection, they desperately need somebody to step up and put the team on their back.
Warriors vs Spurs Head-to-Head
Despite being the better team all year long, the Spurs have beaten the Warriors in two out of their three matchups this year. However, Curry missed one game and Thompson missed the other.
We’ll see how they perform with both of them out.

Warriors vs Spurs Prediction
This could be an entirely different game than we may be expecting considering the injuries that either side is facing right now. However, this will definitely go down to the wire.
There will be a lot of young players stepping into large roles to make up for the starters that aren’t available. If recent games were any indication of how this might be going, San Antonio seems to be the better choice against the spread.
They have covered in eight of their last nine games and have the third-best defensive rating in the league during that span.
Add on Golden State losing Thompson and Curry for this matchup and the Spurs look to be a solid bet.
