- The two teams’ defenses could keep the matchup low-scoring.
- Kevin Durant plays well against Golden State, which is key for the home team.
- Back Phoenix’s NBA lines at BetUS Sportsbook
We have a tantalizing Saturday night NBA matchup, as Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant rekindle their rivalry when the Golden State Warriors visit the Phoenix Suns. While Curry is listed on the NBA injury report, there is a good chance he plays and it’s reflected in the odds.
Phoenix is a 2½-point favorite, indicating a tight contest. We concur with the lines as Phoenix gets the slight edge even with a key injury.

2 Best Warriors vs Suns Picks
1. BetUS Pick Phoenix Suns ATS -2½ (-110)
The Suns are reeling, having lost six of their last seven games, mainly due to injuries. But Durant returned and didn’t miss a beat, scoring 23 points to lead Phoenix to a blowout win over the Lakers. With Durant, Phoenix is 9-2 and scoring 10.3 points more than without him in the lineup. It’s why we’re backing them as the NBA odds indicate.
Durant has also played brilliantly against Golden State, averaging 29.3 points and 8.5 rebounds while nearly averaging a 50/40/90 line shooting-wise. The Warriors don’t have many answers for Durant.
That’s partly why KD has a 22-15 record when he faces the Warriors. He’s won three of the last four games in which he’s faced them.

Even with a hobbled Bradley Beal, who continues to deal with injuries, the Suns have enough offense to break Golden State’s defense.
“He wants to be healthy, deserves to be healthy, and we need him to be healthy,” Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer said about Beal following a loss to the Nets on Wednesday where he left with a foot injury.
The Suns rank in the top three in effective field goal percentage when Durant plays and in the top five in assist percentage. They may rank outside the top 10 in offensive rating or pace, but their efficiency makes them deadly.
Golden State ranks in the top three in net rating (+8.2), but it’s also faced many teams below .500.
The Warriors are 7-1 against teams below .500 but just 5-5 against teams at .500 or above. They’ve also covered in just one of their last five road games.
In contrast, Phoenix is 7-4 against teams at .500 or better, with some wins coming without Durant. With the future Hall of Famer back in the fold, the Suns are one of the more solid NBA picks to win and cover the spread.

2. Warriors vs Suns Total Game Under 233 (-110)
This marquee matchup features two of the NBA’s greatest scorers plus two top-10 offenses. But we’ll lean on the total to go under despite how the lines have trended.
It opened at 228½ and has been moved up with the NBA news that Curry and Beal are likely to play. Still, expect this game to have a playoff-like feel on top of being more defensive.
The Warriors have struggled on offense in recent matchups. They’ve been held to 112 points or fewer in four of their last six games.
Of course, Curry missed some of these matchups, including Wednesday’s loss to the Thunder, which went well below what we expected. But even with the team’s offensive inconsistency, Golden State remains a top defensive team.
Golden State has held five of its last six opponents under 110 points. And on the road, the Warriors slow it down slightly, as its pace dips by nearly three possessions per 48 minutes.
Phoenix ranks average in pace at just under 100 per 48 minutes. The team has sped up under Budenholzer but is still not a fast-playing offense.
This is why we expect this one to be lower scoring, on top of recent trends. Two of the Suns’ last three games went over their totals. But the average total only amounted to 232.6 points, which is shy of our number here. Only once did a team hit the 120-point mark. Bet online on the under.
Bet on Warriors vs Suns Under 233 (-110)
