The Minnesota Timberwolves host the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of a Western Conference semifinal series on Tuesday. Minnesota had little trouble with Los Angeles in the first round, dispatching the Lakers in five games. Golden State needed seven to oust Houston.
NBA betting odds have the Timberwolves at -7, but I’m picking the Warriors to make it close in the opener.
Warriors vs Timberwolves NBA Semifinals Prediction
NBA finals betting has the Timberwolves winning Game 1, but the score could be a lot closer than our sportsbook expects.
My NBA score prediction has the Warriors winning narrowly 105-103, causing an upset on Tuesday.
Warriors vs Timberwolves Best NBA Player Props Today
-
Julius Randle Under 20.5 Points (-118)
Julius Randle played a good series against the Lakers, but the Warriors’ defense is much better, and I’m picking him to struggle. He scored 23 points in his most-recent game, but with tough Golden State defender Draymond Green likely to switch to Randle at times, he could struggle to score anything over 15 points. Randle under 20.5 is one of my best NBA player prop bets.
-
Brandin Podziemski Under 11.5 Points (-105)
My NBA picks for today include Brandin Podziemski under 11.5 points. The Warriors’ two-way player has been excellent, but I can’t see him scoring over 11.5 points against the Timberwolves. He comes off totals of nine, 10 and eight points, and I’m not sure why his line is so high, so take the value.
-
Jimmy Butler Over 0.5 Made 3-Pointers (-200)
My last NBA player prop picks include Jimmy Butler over 0.5 threes made. He made 2 for 3 against the Rockets, and looked much more comfortable on the wings. Butler is always tough to bet against in the playoffs, and Playoff Jimmy could star for the Warriors. The 0.5 line is worth snapping up as a value play.

Warriors vs Timberwolves Moneyline Pick
The NBA latest news suggests the Warriors could be tired after playing in Houston on Sunday, but there is good value with the Warriors’ ML odds. The +235 line is generous for a team that has much more playoff experience, and if there’s going to be an upset in this series, it’ll likely come in Game 1.
Bet on Warriors ML (+235) vs Timberwolves
Warriors vs Timberwolves Spread Pick
I’m taking the Warriors to win outright, so it’s only natural to take the Warriors +7. That’s a lot of points to give a team coming off a big win, and they could catch the Timberwolves off guard, especially after the Wolves haven’t played for almost a week.
Bet on Warriors +7 ATS (-105) vs Timberwolves
Warriors vs Timberwolves Over/Under Pick
Because of the Warriors’ defense, I’m including under 209.5 points. It has been a low-scoring NBA playoffs so far, and I expect that to continue. Defense should be the defining factor in the game, so include it in your NBA picks.
Bet on Warriors vs Timberwolves under 209.5 points (-110)
