Wednesday NBA Picks and Parlays: Back Defending Champs

Our NBA parlay came up one leg short on Tuesday night. We hit the Magic and Pelicans to cover the spread in their respective matchups and on Dejounte Murray to finish with a double-double. I was a bit too greedy, however, adding John Collins to record a double-double as well.

When I place a parlay, I recommend playing each leg as a single on its own as well. In the case of a situation like Tuesday night, we still make a decent payout if we cash on every leg but one.

Wednesday NBA Picks and Parlays: Back Defending Champs

The NBA season is currently front and center in the sports world. One of the best ways to spice things up is with an NBA parlay bet for all of the action. The NBA allows us to string together multiple bets for a big win. We have six games scheduled to tip off Wednesday night, and I’m going to use a combination of NBA ATS picks and NBA player props to build our parlay bet.

With so many games to break down and select our picks from, I’m loading up a three-leg parlay. You can always do a ton of your own research, but the trick is I’ve already done that work for you. Let’s get into the best NBA expert picks for Wednesday.

1. Parlay Pick: Nuggets -7½ vs Kings

This is my favorite spot on the board tonight in the Association. This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the Nuggets and Kings. Sacramento defeated Denver in the previous three matchups this season, including twice earlier this month. Denver has the second-best record at home this season at 22-5. However, against the spread (ATS), the Nuggets are just 13-13-1 at home.

This is a triple-revenge spot for Denver, and the Nuggets appear to be heating up coming out of the All-Star break. They have won three consecutive games and are 3-0 ATS.

De’Aaron Fox is questionable for the Kings, and if he sits, this line will go up to double digits. This is the third game in four nights for the Kings, and playing at altitude, I expect them to run out of gas in the fourth quarter. We can trust the defending champs to get the job done tonight.

2. Parlay Pick: Pacers (-230) vs Pelicans

The Pacers host the Pelicans and they are currently up to six-point favorites. This is the bad end of the line as it opened up at 3½. Instead of risking the point spread, we just need the Pacers to win. This is a rare national TV game for Indiana at its house, so I expect the Pacers to show up. After examining the NBA betting lines, this is one of my most confident spots.

We cashed in on the Pelicans on Tuesday night against the Knicks, and tonight, but I’m fading them here. This is a classic fade spot for NBA teams. New Orleans is on a road back-to-back, its third game in four nights and its fifth in seven nights if we expand it even wider. The Pacers are 19-12 straight-up at home and New Orleans is 4-7 with the rest disadvantage this season. Indiana is the fastest-paced team in the NBA while the Pels are 19th in pace. The Pelicans will have tired legs down the stretch in this one.

3. Parlay Pick: Scottie Barnes Double-Double YES (-106)

Our third and final leg of our NBA bet will be a player prop. We’ve had plenty of success of late with these. The first time All-Star is coming into his own this season. Scottie Barnes has a double-double in three consecutive games out of the break and in six of his last seven games overall! The Raptors host the Mavericks, who are on the second leg of a back-to-back after they suffered a brutal loss at the buzzer in Cleveland.

Raptors center Jakob Poeltl left Monday’s game with an ankle injury and is questionable. Even if he plays, I still like this spot for Barnes to stuff the stat sheet again for NBA player props. In the previous matchup with Dallas this season, he finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Dallas allows the fifth-most points per game to opposing power forwards (25.75 ppg) and the second-most rebounds overall.
