Straight Up

The Cardinals looked real hot when they kicked the season off with a 2-0 record. However, things quickly went downhill for Arizona as they suffered consecutive losses to the Lions and Panthers. Now Arizona looks to get back on the winning side of the ball against the lowly Jets. Fortunately for Kyler Murray and the Cards, the Jets are likely the worst team in the league.

This game will be a good rebound for Murray and the Cardinals. Expect Arizona to come out on top.

Against the Spread

The Arizona Cardinals (2-2) have fallen back down to earth a bit, after starting the season 2-0. That being said, the NY Jets (0-4) started the season buried underground and that’s where they’ll be staying. The Jets have been outscored 131-65 so far this season, and it looks like Joe Flacco will be starting at QB in place of an injured Sam Darnold. Let’s be honest. Darnold hasn’t exactly been a beacon of hope when he’s been behind center, either. The Jets rank dead last in passing offense. It’s quite possible that Gang Green doesn’t win a single game all season (Hello, Trevor Lawrence!).

The Cardinals will certainly rebound here and should win by at least 10 points. The Arizona defense could conceivably outscore the Jet’s offense in this game. Am I going too far? Nope. The Jets are that bad, and the Cardinals are a developing dark horse.

It’s Raining Ducketts: Free ATS Pick, Arizona Cardinals -7½

Over/Under

The Arizona Cardinals average 24.5 points per game. Veteran Larry Fitzgerald should be more involved (2 receptions, 4 yards in Week 4) and RB Kenyan Drake needs to increase his numbers (13 carries, 35 yards in Week 4).

The total has gone over in four of Arizona’s last six games against an opponent from the AFC.

The New York Jets are a mess but still, somehow Adam Gase remains as their head coach.

QB Sam Darnold is more than frustrated as the Jets average 278 yards (worst in the league) and 16.3 points (second worst in the league) per game.

The total has gone under in four of the NY Jets’ last five games against the Cardinals. Go under once again.
