The Atlanta Falcons (4-6) take on the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) in Week 12 at TIAA Bank Field. The Falcons dropped an embarrassing 25-0 loss to the Patriots last Thursday, while the Jags were routed by the 49ers 30-10 at home. Early NFL odds opened with the Falcons at -1, while the point total is at 46½.

The Falcons followed up their lopsided loss against the Cowboys with an even uglier loss to the Patriots. Arthur Smith’s offense has crashed and burned as of late, scoring just three points in their last two contests. Matt Ryan has looked pedestrian, throwing four picks and just 270 yards over his last two games.

Despite the tough losses, the defense has been decent and is tied with the fourth-most takeaways in the NFL with 17. A.J. Terrell was a bright spot on defense, securing a Mac Jones interception in the fourth quarter. The defense is allowing almost 29 points to opposing teams and a terrible 123.3 yards on the ground.

The Jaguars had played respectable over their previous two games but were absolutely steamrolled at home by the Niners. One thing that needs to improve is the rushing attack. The Jaguars only have one 100-yard rusher in 2021 and got 54 total yards on Sunday.

Trevor Lawrence produced 162 passing yards or less for the third straight game, while the offense as a whole has averaged 10.8 points in their last four contests.

Defensively, the Jaguars have been pretty bad, allowing 363 yards and 26.2 points per game. Jacksonville has allowed 30 or more points in five of its 10 games. One thing they do have going for them are takeaways with the fourth most in the NFL, including nine interceptions.
