With Week 9 wrapped up, the Baltimore Ravens head to Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins for a Thursday Night matchup for Week 10 in the NFL. The Baltimore Ravens escaped an overtime scare from the Minnesota Vikings, winning 34-31, while the Miami Dolphins took out the Texans 17-9 at home. NFL betting lines opened with the Ravens as 7½-point favorites, with the point total at 47½.
The AFC North-leading Ravens bounced back from an ugly loss to the Bengals with another Justin Tucker game-winning field goal. The Ravens looked abysmal in the first half with Lamar Jackson throwing two interceptions, but Baltimore scratched and clawed their way to victory with Jackson tossing three touchdowns and rushing for an additional 120 yards.
The Raven defense had an ugly first half allowing 24 points but rallied to hold Minnesota to just seven points in the second half. Overall, the defense only has seven takeaways, but they are fantastic against the run. Although they allowed 131 yards on the ground on Sunday, they’ve regularly held opponents to 91.8 yards per game which ranks fifth in the league.
Despite Tua Tagovailoa missing this game, the Dolphins were able to secure a victory ending their seven-game losing streak. The offense struggled, committing three first-half turnovers while the offensive line gave up four sacks. The Dolphins will hope to have Tagovailoa back as they rank 30th in total offense while scoring just 17.2 points per game.
Defensively, the Dolphins got some huge turnovers from their secondary, snagging three interceptions on the day. Miami is still ranked 30th in total yards allowed but now has 13 turnovers, good for tenth in the league.
