Carolina Panthers vs Dallas Cowboys News & Picks

Expert Picks

The undefeated Carolina Panthers will head to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to face off against the Dallas Cowboys. Both NFC teams looked dominant in Week 3 and hope to continue that success in a tough Week 4 battle.

Early NFL odds have the Cowboys (2-1) as the five-point home favorite, with the point total set at 50½.

Carolina’s defense was masterful against the Texans last week, sacking quarterback Davis Mills four times and limiting him to just 168 passing yards. Additionally, the Panthers’ rush defense was even better, as the team allowed an astonishingly low 42 rushing yards.

Sam Darnold took control of the offense and threw for 304 yards and showed his athleticism, rushing for two touchdowns. Darnold put the Panthers up early in the first quarter and then, in the second half, outscored Houston’s offense 17-3.

The Panthers (3-0) suffered some notable injuries in Week 3 that could potentially impact their performance next week. Christian McCaffrey suffered a hamstring injury early and hopes to be back in a couple of weeks. Cornerback Jaycee Horn was officially put on IR after breaking bones in his foot. In response, the Panthers traded with the Jaguars for the former first-round pick C.J Henderson to replace Horn.

Dallas absolutely exploded on Monday night football in Dak Prescott’s first home game since returning from an ACL injury. The offense put up a masterful 41 points, and constantly moved the chains against the Eagles with ease.

More importantly, the Cowboys got Zeke Elliott going on the ground with two touchdowns and 95 rushing yards. The Cowboy defense seems to be getting better every week. This time they picked off Eagle quarterback Jalen Hurts twice, once for a touchdown. They also limited the Eagles to just 64 rushing yards and a 33% conversion rate on third down.
