Bears vs Cowboys Prediction, Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds & Picks
The Chicago Bears are coming off a huge win over the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. Not only did they go on the road and get a victory, they sent the Patriots into a tailspin where they’re re-evaluating their own reality.
As for the Dallas Cowboys, they have Dak Prescott back and are making a run at the NFC East title. They had a so-so win over the Detroit Lions last week. Can they build off it?
It’s an under-the-radar game in the NFL’s Week 8 but which way should you go for the NFL betting odds?
Let’s check the latest NFL odds, stats, injury reports, and NFL lines for Bears vs Cowboys. We’ve plenty of Vegas NFL odds for you to consider.
Breakout for Bears
The Bears really turned the tables last week in a game where they were trailing 14-10. They were on the road, on Monday Night Football, against Bill Belichick and the Patriots.
Everything seemed to be going the wrong way after a 10-0 lead turned into a 14-10 deficit. The Patriots switched quarterbacks to Bailey Zappe and all of the momentum was on their side.
And then the Bears scored 19 straight points on the Pats with Justin Fields playing one of the better games of his Chicago career.
Fields accounted for over 250 total yards, making an impact as both a runner and a passer. He was able to make plays outside the pocket instead of allowing drives to bog down.
The Bears’ defense also made a huge impact, getting four takeaways from a turnover-prone New England offense.
Now the question is can they carry this over on the road in Dallas? If you bet online, you should note that the Cowboys allow 4.5 yards per carry, which is high. That could open the door for the Bears to have another strong day on the ground.
Defense Fuels Dallas
Quarterback Dak Prescott returned from an injury against the Detroit Lions, but he was not the star of the show last week.
It was a Dallas defense that limited the Lions to only six points and enabled the offense to take a back seat as it tried to adjust to Prescott’s return.
The Cowboys are the only team to beat the 6-1 New York Giants. They survived when Prescott was out and Cooper Rush started five games in his place.
They were able to hammer the defending Super Bowl champion Rams in Los Angeles. Despite their 5-2 record, the Cowboys are trailing the Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles in a very difficult NFC East.
With Prescott settling back into the rhythm, the Cowboys have to like their chances over the next several weeks, including this game against the Bears.
Their game plan is going to be very simple: Stop the run and force Fields to beat them with his arm. If they can do that, they’ll very likely get the win.

Bears vs Cowboys Prediction
Should the Bears be insulted given what the NFL odds show here? They just went on the road and hammered the Patriots while the Cowboys mostly struggled at home with the Detroit Lions.
Even so, the Bears are nearly a double-digit dog in the sportsbook. The truth is that few feel the Bears really turned things around last week. It was likely more just an aberration.
The Cowboys have a defense that is playing great. That means the Bears will have a very tough time scoring against Dallas. Fields has six interceptions and six fumbles (none lost) in seven games.
Those are the types of mistakes that will derail them this week as Dallas wins and covers.
