The Battle for the Buckeye State sees its first entry for 2022 when the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns collide on Monday Night Football odds. The Bengals got off to a slow start but are rounding into form with four wins in their last five games. But, a significant injury is poised to derail their season. On the other hand, the Browns look awful and have lost four in a row heading into Week 8.
Let’s check the latest NFL odds, stats, injury reports, and NFL lines for Bengals vs Browns. We’ve plenty of Vegas NFL odds for you to consider.
Bengals Rolling but …
After a terrible start to the season, it appears the Bengals are emerging from a Super Bowl hangover usually reserved for the winning team. The passing game was a big reason for this. A passing game that just got some terrible news.
This week’s water-cooler talk in Ohio will be about the injury to star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. The top option for the Bengals will miss between four and six weeks with a hip injury. This is the worst thing that could happen, just as this team was getting back in the groove on offense.
The Bengals are far from without other options, at least. Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins each have 455 yards receiving through six games and a combined five touchdowns. It helps to have Chase double-teamed on the other side of the field, but both pass-catchers are capable of making space for Joe Burrow to work with. Speaking of Burrow, he ranks third in passing yards (2.097) and touchdowns (15). With his skill, he should be able to make do with Boyd and Higgins against the Browns.

Browns Sliding
The Browns are a team in trouble after dropping four straight following a 2-1 start. The offense is chugging along nicely with 24 points and 378 yards per game. But the defense has been awful and is letting them down weekly.
The Browns’ defense enters Week 8 ranked 28th in scoring, 27th in touchdowns allowed, and 17th in red zone scoring percentage (57.14%). The rushing defense has been atrocious, allowing opponents to run for 135.6 yards and 1.9 touchdowns per contest. With Chase out of commission for Cincinnati, the Bengals may find themselves putting the ball in Joe Mixon’s hands more. He hasn’t been required to do a lot, but he is a capable back who can do some damage against a defense this bad.

Bengals vs Browns Head-to-Head
As members of the AFC North, Cincinnati and Cleveland play twice a season. The Browns have a 4-0 outright winning streak but the Bengals are 3-1 against the spread in that span. The over/under is 5-1 in the last six meetings.

Bengals vs Browns Prediction
The Bengals are still reeling from the terrible news that Chase will miss at least the next four games. Against a better team, I would be more inclined to side with the underdogs here. But the Browns, especially on defense, look rough and not worth our money. The Bengals are worth a look both on the Moneyline and against the spread as slight favorites.
The Cincinnati Bengals are listed at -170 in our “Vegas NFL lines.” This means that if you wager $100 on the Bengals, you have a chance to win $ 58.82. The Cleveland Browns are +150, offering a chance to win $150 on a $100 wager.
The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the Cincinnati Bengals a 62.96% chance to win, with the Cleveland Browns at 40%.
