The New Orleans Saints will play host to the Dallas Cowboys at the Superdome for an NFC matchup on Thursday night. Both teams are coming off of disappointing losses, with the Cowboys falling to the Raiders 36-33 in overtime, while the Saints were stomped by the Bills 31-6. Early NFL odds opened with the Cowboys at -6, with the point total at 47½.
Thanksgiving was not kind to the Dallas Cowboys as they dropped their second consecutive game. Dallas trailed for much of the game, allowing Derek Carr to pass for 374 yards, along with a slew of defensive pass interference yardage. Overall, the defense ranks 18th after allowing 36 points and 516 total yards but owns the fourth-most takeaways in the league.
The Cowboys offense continues to produce even without some of their top weapons. Dak Prescott finished with 375 yards and two touchdowns. The rushing attack was mostly inefficient, finishing with 64 yards, but the offense still paces the NFL with 419.8 yards per game.
The Saints fell out of the playoff picture after suffering their fourth straight loss. The Trevor Semien-led offense struggled all night, garnering just six points and totaling an ugly 207 yards. The offense has struggled since Jameis Winston went down with an ACL injury, averaging just 21 points.
Defensively, the Saints boast one of the most fearsome fronts, allowing just 91.9 rushing yards per game, good for third in the league. The defense was gouged for 373 yards and 36 points by the Bills and has conceded an average of 30.3 points over their four-game losing streak.
