AFC West Rivals Collide
The Denver Broncos must face danger head-on in Week 6 as they travel to SoFi Stadium for a Monday Night Football odds battle with the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite the struggles of the Broncos (2-3), this will be Denver’s fourth prime-time game of the season. The Chargers (3-2) come off back-to-back wins thanks to the offense’s high-level production. Denver’s dysfunctional offense wishes it could say the same.
Let’s check the latest NFL odds, stats, injury reports, and NFL lines for Broncos vs Chargers. We’ve plenty of Vegas NFL odds for you to consider.

Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos will need another big performance from their defense on MNF odds. These offensive struggles will not disappear overnight, as we are all seeing. Denver ranks 31st in points per game, 30th in third-down conversion percentage, and last in red zone touchdown percentage.
In Week 5’s 12-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the offense showed no signs of turning it around. Instead, quarterback Russell Wilson had perhaps his worst game of the season with two interceptions and a 54.9 passer rating. In overtime, Wilson missed a wide-open K.J. Hamler for a game-winning touchdown. Check out Hamler’s outburst following the failed fourth-down conversion:

The defense is the shining light of a disheartening start. It is holding opponents to 16 points per game (fourth), 289 yards per game (third), and 4.7 yards per play (sixth). Plus, Denver ranks fifth with 17 sacks. The Broncos have faced challenges on this side of the ball with star cornerback Pat Surtain II missing some time and edge rusher Randy Gregory out with a knee injury since Week 4. Yet, the defense keeps holding strong.
Los Angeles Chargers
Like last season, the Los Angeles Chargers’ offense is leading the charge. It started slow with the run game struggling. However, Los Angeles is averaging 32 points with 442 yards over the last two weeks.
Running back Austin Ekeler has burst onto the scene with 109 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in Week 4, followed by 199 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns last week. When Ekeler plays like this, the Chargers’ offense becomes unstoppable. Quarterback Justin Herbert has continued to prove he is one of the NFL’s bright young stars. Wide receiver Mike Williams has played great in Kennan Allen’s absence. The offensive line is paving the way for success even without All-Pro left tackle Rashawn Slater. Rookie guard Zion Johnson has been fantastic, especially in pass protection.
Los Angeles spent a lot of money this offseason to upgrade the defense. So far, it has not worked out. The unit is surrendering 27.2 points per game (30th) and 5.8 yards per carry (32nd). Cornerback J.C. Jackson has yet to find his footing in Los Angeles after signing a five-year, $82.5 million contract in March. Without a solid defense, the Chargers will not be contenders.

Broncos vs Chargers Prediction
Before the season started, this looked like an exciting prime-time game. Two elite quarterbacks, Wilson and Herbert, would go head-to-head. So much for that. There’s little reason to believe Wilson lights it up this week.
Instead, the Broncos should ride the run game. Keeping the Chargers’ offense off of the field is a good idea. Plus, Denver can have success on the ground against Los Angeles’ poor run defense. The Chargers’ secondary has struggled at times, giving Wilson opportunities to make some big plays. The Broncos’ talented pass rush duo, Bradley Chubb and Baron Browning, can expose rookie left tackle Jamaree Salyer, who comes off a poor game in pass protection. Denver will surprise with a road cover.
