This Week 4 matchup features the Houston Texans traveling to Buffalo to take on the Bills. Houston (1-2) hopes to bounce back after a 24-9 loss to undefeated Carolina Panthers on Thursday. Buffalo, on the other hand, welcomes Houston to Orchard park on Sunday after cruising to a 43-21 win against the Washington Football team. Let’s take a look at this exciting matchup.

Early NFL point spreads have the Buffalo Bills as a massive -17 point favorite in this matchup, with the total points set at 48.

On offense, Houston threw out rookie quarterback Davis Mills, and in his first start, he impressed by  throwing one touchdown and completing 68 percent  of his passes for 168 yards and one touchdown. However, the Texans could not get anything going on the ground, rushing for just 42 total yards. The Texans produced just 210 yards of offense and will need to produce against a Bills offense that can put up a ton of points.

The defensive line stood out for the Texans as they wreaked havoc on third downs. They accumulated 11 pressures, three hits and one sack on quarterback Sam Darnold and put pressure on Carolina’s offensive line all game. The Texans were bailed out when Pro Bowl running back Christian McCaffrey was hurt, leaving Carolina’s offense pretty one-dimensional.

The Buffalo Bills were victorious on Sunday, winning their first home game by crushing Washington. Buffalo was phenomenal on both sides of the ball but got off to a quick start on offense, bolting to a 21-0 lead. Josh Allen led the Bills with 367 total yards of offense and added four touchdowns through the air and one on the ground.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bills shut down any momentum Washington had by picking off quarterback Taylor Heinicke two times and recovering a fumble. Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer were all over the Washington receivers, each reeling in an interception. The defense forced three turnovers and capitalized on those for 17 points.
