One of the biggest surprise teams in Week 1, the Houston Texans will take the road to take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. The Texans made quick and easy work of the Jacksonville Jaguars by scoring 37 points. Houston is the only team in the AFC South with a win in Week 1. The Texans will face a tough test on the road at Cleveland. The Browns are coming off a 33-29 loss at Kansas City in Week 1. The latest NFL line shows Cleveland as a big favorite at -11.5 points and the total at 48.
Despite not having Deshaun Watson under center, the Texans looked great passing the football. Tyrod Taylor tossed for 291 yards and two touchdowns on 21-of-33 passing. Brandin Cooks was the main in the passing game with five catches and 132 yards. Mark Ingram carried the ground game for the Texans with 26 carries and 85 yards.
Houston bottled up rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The former Clemson signal-caller threw three interceptions in the game and passed 51 times. The Houston run defense was outstanding, holding the Jaguars to just 76 yards on the ground.
For the Browns, they are kicking themselves for letting that Week 1 game get away. The Browns led 22-10 at halftime, but saw Kansas City score 23 out of the final 30 points. Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 321 yards but was unable to pass for a touchdown.
Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are one of the top running back duos in the league. Chubb rushed for two touchdowns while Hunt added one as well. Browns tight end David Njoku was the leading receiver for the Browns with three catches for 76 yards.
