Pederson Returns to Face Former Team
Doug Pederson returns to Philadelphia for the first time as the new head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The NFL betting odds are not giving him and his team that great of a chance as the Eagles look to extend their unbeaten record to 4-0. Either way, these teams have been having phenomenal seasons and will look to build on that in this game. There are plenty of NFL predictions for you to consider.
Let’s check the latest NFL odds, stats, injury reports, and NFL lines for Jaguars vs Eagles. We’ve plenty of Vegas NFL odds for you to consider.

Jaguars Ready to Prove Legitimacy
Not a lot of folks gave Doug Pederson and the Jacksonville Jaguars much of a chance. Check out the online sportsbook’s outright odds. The Jaguars remained long shots to win the division or even make the playoffs. But after two dominant victories over Indianapolis (24-0) and the Los Angeles Chargers (38-10), the Jaguars have the second-best point differential behind only mighty Buffalo.
How has Jacksonville done it? The defense has played like an elite unit. It has allowed the fourth-fewest points and is tied with Baltimore with the most turnovers forced. It is also just one of three defenses that have yet to give up a rushing touchdown.
To complement the defense, James Robinson and Travis Etienne have paced the Jaguars’ rushing attack to the 10th-most prolific in the league. Trevor Lawrence has improved immensely at quarterback, having thrown six touchdowns to just one pick. He’s sixth in the NFL in passer rating (115) thanks to his offensive line, which has given up just two sacks.
Eagles: Toughest Test Yet?
The Eagles are in uncharted territory here. The team is at the top of the NFC with a chance to go 4-0 for the first time since 2004. But to do so, the Philadelphia Eagles will have to get past its former coach. This may as well be their toughest test despite what folks betting online indicate. For one, the Jaguars have been on a roll themselves.
Secondly, this is the best defense the Eagles will go against. Philadelphia’s top-ranked offense will be tested, especially its running game. The Eagles lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns with six, half of which come from quarterback Jalen Hurts. Lost in all the Lamar Jackson hype is the third-year player’s excellent season thus far.

The Jaguars have not dealt with a quarterback like Hurts, though Pederson will be familiar with the quarterback who took over the reins in his final season in Philly. Hurts gets to prove himself against a top-tier opponent, against which he has struggled in his career.

Jaguars vs Eagles Head-to-Head
The Jaguars and Eagles have only met six times in the NFL and they’ve tied at 3-3: Philadelphia has won the last three meetings, making Jacksonville’s last win in the series in 2006. The scoring has been low between these teams, averaging to 42½ points.

Jaguars vs Eagles Prediction
We are buying into the upstart Jaguars. This team can do it on both ends of the field and what has us more convinced is the way the team handled the Chargers. The offensive line, in particular, dominated against what was supposedly a top-tier front-seven. This will allow Lawrence to play well for most of the game, even in Philly.
Pederson is now third in Coach of the Year odds for a reason. He knows how to kick-start a franchise stuck in a rut. However, as strong as the Jaguars have been, Philadelphia should still find a way to win. But take the points on Jacksonville as this one will be close.
