The Jacksonville Jaguars head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks at Lumen Field for a week eight NFL matchup. The Jaguars (1-5) ended their winless streak with a victory over the Dolphins 23-20, while the Seahawks lost a tough battle on Monday night to the Saints 13-10. Early NFL odds have opened with the Seahawks as the steeply-priced three-point favorite, with the point total at 43½.

The Jaguars ended the longest NFL losing streak in more than 40 years when they took down Miami in London, with Matthew Wright nailing a 53-yard field goal as time expired. Trevor Lawrence is starting to look sharp, throwing for over 300 yards for the first time in his career.

The defense stepped up big time in the team’s first win forcing two key interceptions and crucial stuff on fourth and one that set up the game-winning field goal. Additionally, the run defense took a big step holding Miami to 77 yards on the ground forcing the Miami offense to throw the ball most of the game.

The Seattle Seahawks lost their third straight game without Russell Wilson, and moved to 0-3 at home for the first time since 1992.

The Seahawks couldn’t put anything together on offense finishing with a miserable ten points. Geno Smith threw for 167 yards and the ground game mustered just 90 yards.

The glaring weakness for the Seahawks was the offensive line. The Saints came in with just five sacks on the year, and the offensive line allowed five total sacks.

The worst defense in the league held strong with the help of the rainy weather in Seattle. The Seahawks held the Saints to just 13 points, 94 yards on the ground and 222 in the air.
