The Kansas City Chiefs head to Sin City to take on the Raiders for an AFC West showdown in Week 10 at Allegiant Stadium. The Kansas City Chiefs (5-4) picked up a 13-7 win against the Packers and brought their winning streak to two, while the Raiders (5-3) took a disappointing loss to the Giants on the road 23-16.
NFL betting lines opened with the Chiefs as 2½-point favorites with extra juice and a total of 51½.
The Chiefs are back above .500 thanks to some signs of life from the defense. Although the defense didn’t record a sack, Jordan Love couldn’t handle any pressure and couldn’t find a rhythm against Kansas City’s defensive unit.
The Chiefs got a takeaway from L’Jarius Sneed, picking off Love in the fourth quarter to snag their tenth takeaway of 2021. They still have much to prove, ranking 26th on defense in Week 10.
Offensively, the Chiefs are still searching for their rhythm averaging just 12 points over their last three contests. Mahomes didn’t throw an interception for the first time since Week 1 but finished with 166 yards. The offense hasn’t been able to run the ball consistently, managing just 77 yards against the Packers.
The Raiders continue to have their resiliency tested with Gruden, Ruggs, and now Arnette drama under their belt. The Raiders are now tied for first after scoring just 16 points against the Giants.
The offense had three turnovers, including an ugly pick six from Derek Carr. Las Vegas had a chance to tie the game with the ball in the red zone but failed to score with a Carr fumble.
The defense allowed 23 points to the league’s 21st ranked offense while not forcing a takeaway. The Giants ran all over the defensive front, finishing with 151 yards, while Daniel Jones tossed one score through the air.
