Straight Up (Sebastian Morera)
The Raiders are 2-2 following their 30-23 loss to the Buffalo Bills this past weekend. Now they have the misfortune of facing the reigning Super Bowl Odds champions on the road. Although Vegas ranks 13th in passing and 10th in scoring, I don’t see how they can topple Kansas City. After all, the Chiefs are sixth in passing, ninth in scoring, and have more weapons on offense than one would care to list. For this reason, I’ll be sticking with the Chiefs at home.
Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Las Vegas Raiders (2-2) have hit a couple of speed bumps recently, and now must face the reigning world champion Kansas City Chiefs (4-0). The Chiefs are the first team in NFL history to start the season 4-0 in four consecutive seasons, but they have shown that they are human. Kansas City barely escaped Los Angeles with an OT victory against the Chargers in Week 2’s AFC West battle, and the Raiders may give the Chiefs some trouble as well.
The key to a competitive game for Las Vegas is for RB Josh Jacobs to exploit KC’s vulnerable run defense. The Chiefs rushing D allows the fifth-most YPG, and Jacobs is the ranked seventh in total rushing yards, coming in at 300 even. Raiders QB Derek Carr isn’t afraid to sling the rock either, and this game should be much closer than the 13-point spread leads us to believe. The Chiefs win the game, but the Raiders will make them work for it.

Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
The Las Vegas Raiders are becoming a competitive team. Derek Carr is a competent quarterback and TE Darren Waller is becoming one of the best in the position.
Las Vegas are averaging 27.8 points per game, but they need RB Josh Jacobs to be more determinant (three straight weeks without a rushing touchdown).
The total has gone over in four of Las Vegas’ last five games.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are balling! They average 405 yards and 29.3 points per game.
The Chiefs have too many weapons (even the defense can score constantly) including one of the most reliable kickers in Harrison Butker (7/8 FG).
The total has gone under in four of Kansas City’s last five games, but a divisional matchup is always different. Go over in a good one.
