Buffalo Favored vs Super Bowl Champions
The NFL kicks things off with a blockbuster of an opener: the Super Bowl favorites visit the defending Super Bowl Champions: the Bills versus the Rams on TNF odds respectively. The NFL betting odds had this as a close one but Buffalo has since moved up to being a three-point favorite. With the online gambling world behind Buffalo, can they make a statement to open their season?
Let’s check the latest NFL lines news, stats, and injury reports, for Bills vs Rams. We’ve plenty of Vegas NFL odds for you to consider.

Bills Have Plenty of Momentum
Buffalo Bills saw its 2021 season end abruptly thanks to outdated overtime rules that the NFL quickly changed. The Bills “did not go quietly into the night and they did not vanish without a fight”. In fact, Buffalo appears ready to pick up where they left off: firing on all cylinders.
The team is one of a few Super Bowl contenders that did not lose too many key figures. And on top of that, Buffalo beefed up its offense by drafting running back James Cook, signing slot receiver Jamison Crowder, and snagging two talented linemen. On defense, the Bills poached Von Miller from the Rams to give their pass rush an added bite.
Brian Daboll may have left for the Giants, but Ken Dorsey should have chemistry with Josh Allen and the offense as he was the passing game coach. Star cornerback Tre’Davious White is still on the mend so in his place is first-round pick, Kaiir Elam. Overall, Buffalo does not have too many weaknesses on paper.
Rams Could Be Reeling
Whether they have a “Super Bowl hangover” or not, the Los Angeles Rams could look anything but sharp to open their season. The team returns the majority of its most important players. But it did lose plenty of other key starters like Odell Beckham Jr. and Robert Woods from the wide receiver corps to linemen Andrew Whitworth and Austin Corbett. On defense, Sebastian Joseph-Day is gone along with Miller.
On the coaching side, Sean McVay lost nearly all of his main offensive personnel. And that’s not all as injuries could hurt the Rams throughout the season. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is battling an elbow injury while receiver Van Jefferson is banged up. Running back Cam Akers is also still not fully recovered from his Achilles injury.
On the positive side, the Rams added former Pro Bowlers in Allen Robinson and Bobby Wagner. They, along with the rest of the team, can pick up the slack as the Rams remain an elite team worthy of being bet online.
Bills vs Rams Head-to-Head
The Bills and Rams met last season, which Buffalo won and covered. In their last five meetings, Buffalo is 4-1 against the spread (ATS) all as a favorite. The total went over in four of these five games as Buffalo scored 30+ points four times.

Bills vs Rams Prediction
It may seem tempting to bet on the Super Bowl champions as underdogs. But the Bills appear healthier and sharper heading into this matchup. They also have Miller, who could be the X-Factor, as he proves to be a thorn in Stafford’s side all game. Both teams also lost their offensive coordinators though Buffalo has more continuity on the coaching side.
The Bills have also been a solid NFL pick against the spread when facing the NFC: 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games against them. Bank on Buffalo to start this one hot off the gates as Los Angeles tries to battle back.
