An NFC West showdown takes place when the Los Angeles Rams travel north to take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi Stadium in Week 10. The Rams (7-2) were dominated on Sunday Night football 28-16 by the Titans, while the 49ers were pummeled by the Cardinals in a similar fashion 31-17.
Early NFL odds have the Rams as a four-point favorite, while the point total sits at 49.
The Los Angeles Rams were steamrolled by the Titans without their best player last Sunday. The defense allowed 28 points, but much of that was self-inflicted from penalties or because of a bad field position from Matthew Stanford. The defense is ranked 12th in the league and allowed just 194 total yards to the Titans.
Matthew Stanford was off his game; he threw a pick six and another interception that set the Titans up at the two-yard line. The offensive line really let the team down, allowing five sacks while giving the running backs little room to work.
The offense has played near-perfect football, ranking fourth in the league averaging 400 yards. They’ll hope to rebound against the Niners.
The San Francisco 49ers‘ defense was horrendous against the Cardinals sporting bad tackling, costly penalties, and allowing 31 total points. The defensive unit allowed the Cardinals to get out to a 17-0 lead, and the offense couldn’t recover.
Offensively, Jimmy Garoppolo had pressure in his face all game, going down five times. Haro polo had another solid game, this time throwing for 326 yards and two touchdowns.
The rushing attack was non-existent against the Cardinals pass rush gaining just 39 yards. They’ll need a big performance against the Rams to stay in the playoff hunt.
