The Los Angeles Rams (3-1) were dominated by the Arizona Cardinals at home 37-20 and will look to rebound when they head to Seattle to play the Seahawks, who are coming off an impressive 28-21 win in San Francisco 28-21. NFL betting odds have the Seahawks as the slight two-point home favorite with the point total set at 54 for Thursday night’s matchup.

After a huge win against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Rams followed that up by getting routed by the Cardinals. The defense struggled and couldn’t contain dual-threat quarterback Kyler Murray on third downs and in the red zone. The Rams allowed 8 of 13 third-down conversions and conceded three touchdowns and two field goals in the red zone.

The Rams simply had no answer on offense as Matthew Stafford was uncharacteristically inaccurate in the red zone. Sean McVay’s steady offense was inefficient, turning the ball over twice and they simply couldn’t recover. Additionally, the least penalized team in the league committed five costly infractions and the Cardinals capitalized.

They’ll look to fix those defensive issues and improve quickly with a quick turnaround against NFC West  rival Seattle on Thursday night football.

After weathering two losses in a row, the Seahawks bounced back nicely with a huge win over division rival 49ers.

The defense recorded two sacks, forced two turnovers and knocked Jimmy Garoppolo out of the game with a calf injury. Seattle has the worst total defense in the league, allowing 445 yards per game, and will look to build off an improved defensive performance.

The Seahawks offense showed up in the second half after not converting a first down in the first 25 minutes against the 49ers. Russell Wilson scrambled for a 28-yard touchdown and threw two scoring passes in the win. First-year offensive coordinator Shane Waldron will need a strong game plan against a stout Rams defense in prime time on Thursday.
