Is it about time for people to finally respect Tua Tagovailoa? The third-year quarterback has been largely overshadowed by his draft mates. But Tagovailoa and his Miami Dolphins are 11-1 dating back to their Week 9 loss to Buffalo in 2021. Perhaps the third-year quarterback is enjoying a season similar to Josh Allen when their respective teams gave them weapons. Tagovailoa and the offense’s heroics are even more pronounced considering the defense has given up over 470 yards in two straight games.
Bengals Finding Their Stripes
On the other hand, Burrow and his offense had to work out some kinks before finding their form in Week 3’s blowout win over the New York Jets. Burrow had his best game of the season with three touchdowns and zero picks. Most notably, the defense forced four turnovers.
The online gambling lines have favored the Cincinnati Bengals this week because the team appears to be rounding out to form. And it’s an obvious thing, but Cincinnati needs to be on the right side of the turnover battle. Cincinnati is 10-4 when it forces more turnovers than it produces since 2021.
More notably, Cincinnati is 9-2 ATS in its last 11 games. Odds indicate that their two losses this season were but hiccups. In the Dolphins, the Bengals face their toughest opponent since the Super Bowl. A win here will further elevate the team and boost their morale.

The NFL records for these teams are deceiving. The Bengals could be 2-1 while the Dolphins could be 1-2 and the lines would be even wider. But as it stands, we have to side with Miami here. This team knows how to win games. Tagovailoa has not had a losing season in his career and that is not by coincidence.
While Miami’s defense scares us, taking the 3½ points is a fair price. Cincinnati’s defense will make it hard for the Dolphins to get things going. But we’re not entirely convinced Burrow and the offense can play mistake-free football and the opportunistic Dolphins will capitalize.
