The Dolphins’ offense resumed where they left off before Tua Tagovailoa was concussed a few weeks ago. A 13-point first quarter against the Steelers, though Miami managed just three points in the subsequent 45 minutes of the game. Tagovailoa ended with 261 passing yards (one touchdown), while Raheem Mostert had 79 yards on the ground. The Lions’ season, which was promising, is now a pathetic one. Detroit began the season by averaging 35 points, albeit with a 1-3 record. In two games since, Detroit had a grand total of just six points, getting trounced by the New England Patriots (29-0) and Dallas Cowboys (24-6). Repeating, shut out against the Pats, then two field goals against Dallas. Detroit hasn’t seen the end zone since Week 5’s fourth quarter in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Detroit’s horrendous defense ranks dead-last in points (32.3 per game) and yards allowed, along with opposing touchdowns per game. When the offense was rolling, the defense failed to stop anyone. Now, it’s an awful offense, meaning that all hope is lost here. Obviously, fade the Lions, even with a return to Motown.
