It’s a divisional rivalry game on Sunday when the Miami Dolphins take on the New England Patriots.  Gillette Stadium will be the site of this AFC East game. The latest NFL odds have the New England Patriots at -2.5 at home. When you go to bet the over/under, it’s listed at 43.5.

Gone is Cam Newton, and that gives the opportunity to rookie Mac Jones. Jones, who was wildly successful playing for Nick Saban at Alabama, was solid in training camp. Jones will lead an offense that has all sorts of questions and is coming off a season where it was the worst in decades.

The big story for Brian Flores and his Miami team is Tua Tagovailoa. The quarterback is entering his second season. His rookie campaign was riddled by injuries and poor play, but the expectations are quite high in South Florida for the 23-year-old.

Top targets for Jones will be tight ends Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry. The Patriots grabbed both guys in the off-season and turned the position into a strength. The running back position should be anchored by James White and Damien Harris. The Patriots were able to send Sony Michel out just a couple of weeks ago to the Rams.

The Dolphins expect Myles Gaskin to get a bunch of carries in the backfield. After that, Salvon Ahmen and Malcolm Brown will get some time as well. Lynn Bowden is an emerging name at the receiver position, which should be led by DeVante Parker, but look out for Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins are projected to finish second in the AFC East, but to get there they have to find a way to beat out the Patriots.
