Dolphins vs  Saints Odds

The New Orleans Saints (7-7) will play host to the Miami Dolphins (7-7) at the Caesars Superdome for a Week 16 tilt with huge playoff implications. Both teams are fighting for their playoff lives and picked up wins last week, with Miami taking down the New York Jets 31-24, while New Orleans shut out Tampa Bay on the road 9-0. NFL betting lines have the Saints at -3 and the point total at 39.

The Dolphins picked up a comeback win over the Jets thanks to a huge performance from running back Duke Johnson, who totaled 127 yards, two scores, and almost five yards a carry. Despite two interceptions, Tua Tagovailoa has also looked good, completing a ridiculously high percentage of his passes, and has multiple touchdowns in three of his last four contests.

Defensively, Miami did allow 24 pints to the Jets but racked up six sacks and its 21st takeaway. Five different players recorded sacks. Overall, this defense has conceded just 13.1 points over their six-game winning streak.

The Saints looked impressive in their shutout victory against the Buccaneers. Not only did they hold Tom Brady and the Bucs scoreless, but it’s also the first time Brady has been shut out in 15 years.

New Orleans was constantly in the backfield, sacking Brady four times, all on third down. Cam Jordan led the way with two sacks. The front seven is loaded, holding opponents to 20.4 points per game and 96.6 yards rushing.

Offensively, the Saints struggle to move the ball, as Taysom Hill is completing just 55.7 percent of his passes. However, there’s no denying their production in the run game as Hill has produced 207 yards and two scores in his last three games. Alvin Kamara struggled vs. the Bucs one week after matching his season high with 120 rushing yards.
