The Minnesota Vikings (2-3) will visit the Carolina Panthers (3-2) at Bank of America Stadium for an NFC battle in Week 6. The Vikings won in thrilling fashion, nailing a last-second field goal to defeat the Detroit Lions 19-17.

Meanwhile, the Panthers dropped to second place in the NFC South after losing their second straight game, this time to the Philadelphia Eagles 21-18.

If we take a look at the early NFL odds, the Panthers are the -1 home favorite with the total set at 47.

The Minnesota Vikings won in dramatic fashion, down by two with just over 30 seconds left in the game; Kirk Cousins marched the team down the field, which led to the game-winning field goal. Cousins is having a fantastic year, averaging 279 yards per game with 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

Alexander Mattison stepped up big, filling in for star running back Dalvin Cook by rushing for 113 yards and a receiving touchdown. The Viking’ offense continues to showcase a strong, balanced attack regardless of who is in the backfield.

The defense made Jared Goff run for his life, collecting four sacks and one interception. The defense also held Lions to just 311 yards, including holding Goff to just 203 passing yards.

The Panthers failed to hold off the Eagles last week and dropped their second straight game. Sam Darnold threw three interceptions with just passing 177 yards.

“We have to come out of the locker room firing,” Darnold said. “We have to execute. We can’t hurt ourselves with penalties and turnovers.”

Carolina’s defense controlled most of the game against the Eagles, limiting them to just two first downs and 88 total yards in the first half. The defense recorded three interceptions, including two from Darius Slay Jr. and two sacks from Haason Reddick.

Overall, the Panthers hope to put a sloppy game behind them after relinquishing three sacks, a blocked punt and nine penalties.
