Vikings vs Eagles Betting Analysis
Monday Night Football Clash
The Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles will bring down the curtain on NFL Week 2 betting, as they square off at Lincoln Financial Field in the second game of Monday Night Football’s double header..
Both the Vikings and Eagles got some hype in the preseason. So, they’ll be feeling validated after winning their season openers. However, only one side will extend its record to 2-0 in Week 2. The question is, which side will it be?

Turning to the NFL betting board for an answer, it would appear that the Eagles have the slight edge, in part due to home advantage. They’re priced as the -135 favorites to the Vikings at +115 on the moneyline. At the same time, the game’s point spread is set to one point as we look at the latest NFL lines and odds and the total is projected to 50½ points.
Read on to find out how to bet the Vikings vs Eagles for their much-anticipated MNF clash. We’ll preview the NFL odds and weigh in on the latest NFL picks, stats and injury reports, before serving up the final NFL predictions for your consideration.
Minnesota Vikings
Kenneth O’Connell’s head coaching debut with the Vikings got off to a smashing start as the Vikings routed the Green Bay Packers 23-7 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Minnesota Vikings went into this key NFC North bout as the one-point home favorites, but they crushed the non-committal NFL line with an exclamation point.
Cousins had a solid showing, going 23 of 32 for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Dalvin Cook trotted up for 90 yards on 20 carries while Justin Jefferson absolutely stole the show, leading the offensive charge with 184 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions.
The defense played its part too. Aaron Rodgers was under constant pressure. And they sacked the two-time MVP four times, put him into awkward positions, limited his options and forced an interception.

All in all, the most striking thing about Minnesota’s win was its completeness. They outplayed the Packers in every facet of the game and in so doing, they – dare it be said? – made Rodgers and the Packers look very pedestrian.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles outlasted the Detroit Lions in a 38-35 thriller to clinch the Week 1 DUB. But they narrowly missed on the cover as the -4½ home favorites due to a late touchdown by the Lions that saw them sneak in the backdoor cover.
Jalen Hurts had a good game, though his stats were mixed. He went 18 of 32 for 243 passing yards and zero interceptions and added another 90 rushing yards and a rushing score.
Wide receiver A.J. Brown put up 155 yards on 10 receptions but he had no touchdowns. The Eagles’ ground game dominated proceedings instead along with the defense as they combined for five touchdowns – four rushing and one defensive score.
Speaking of the defense, they rose to the occasion. Lions QB Jared Goff seemed to be under constant pressure and that resulted in a fumble and interception.
Absolute DIME by Jalen Hurts and WHAT A CATCH by AJ Brown!!! 🔥#Eaglespic.twitter.com/lRMMUnQJUK

Vikings vs Eagles Head-to-Head
The Minnesota Vikings trail 6-4 against the Philadelphia Eagles in the last 10 games. But they won the last two meetings – 38-20 at U.S. Bank Stadium on Oct. 13, 2019, and 23-21 at Lincoln Financial Field on Oct. 7, 2018.
Both teams have undergone wholesale personnel changes over the last three years that could render this head-to-head record a moot point for NFL picks.

Vikings vs Eagles Prediction
The Eagles enter this matchup as a slight favorite according to the sportsbook, in part due to home advantage and a successful start to the season.
However, this is going to be the first real test of the season for the hyped-up Eagles. And one that they might not pass with flying colors.
The Vikings were very convincing in Week 1 and had the more impressive win over the three-time defending NFC North champs. The Eagles’ win over the Lions isn’t even in the same league.
The Vikings’ offense is multi-dimensional and the defense is stout. By comparison, the Eagles’ offense still feels one-dimensional at times and the defense was porous at times.
Simply put, we’re not sold on the Eagles. We’re not totally buying the Vikings yet either because it’s still too early to get a handle on every single team. But from an NFL betting point of view, the value is with the Vikings as the small underdogs for NFL picks against the spread.
So, grab the Vikings as the small underdogs on the point spread before the line get bet down further.
