It will be a quick turnaround for the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings on the Thursday night football odds for their Thanksgiving night and that’s probably for the best for both teams.
New England was fortunate to come away with a 10-3 victory over the New York Jets while the Vikings were thoroughly embarrassed at home by the Dallas Cowboys 40-3 on Sunday.
The Patriots couldn’t get out of their own way on offense, mostly due to poor play-calling and offensive line play, but a punt return touchdown with five seconds left saved them.
The Vikings surrendered a season-high 40 points while scoring a season-low three points vs. the Cowboys as quarterback Kirk Cousins was sacked seven times.
It won’t get any easier for Minnesota against the Patriots, who rank second to the Cowboys in sacks and have permitted the third-fewest points per game (16.9).
Patriots quarterback Mac Jones played pretty well against the Jets, completing 23 of 27 for 246 yards despite being under near-constant pressure due to a struggling offensive line, which saw two starters go out injured during the game.

Adam Thielen is a solid No. 2 option behind Jefferson but is nothing more than a possession receiver at this point in his career while tight end T.J. Hockenson, who will be facing the Patriots for the second time this season, has 21 receptions in three games.
Hockenson had one catch for six yards for the Lions in a 29-0 loss to the Patriots.
