The Miami Dolphins will head to Tampa Bay to take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in a Week 5 in-state matchup. The Dolphins fell to the Indianapolis Colts 27-17 in Week 4 while Brady and the Bucs won in prime time against the New England Patriots 19-17. Early NFL Odds have set the Buccaneers as the heavy -10 home favorite, with the point total set at 48.
Brady returned to New England for the first time since signing with the Bucs and pulled out a triumphant win in Gillette Stadium. The offense continues to be explosive, the passing game is second-best in the league and Tampa Bay finally got production from Leonard Fournette and the running game. The offense is putting up over 30 points and game and will look to continue that against Miami.
Tampa Bay’s defense is vicious against the run game, Vita Vea and the defensive line recorded four sacks and own the best rushing defense in the league, allowing a minuscule 47.5 rushing yards per game. They’ll look to wreak havoc at home next Sunday on a weak Miami offense.
For the third straight week, the Dolphins looked abysmal as they fell at home to the Colts. The offense only put up 203 total yards and ranks second-worst in the league, averaging 252 yards. With Tua Tagovailoa out, the offense has been stagnant, averaging just 15 points in their last three games.
Miami extended its NFL-record takeaway streak to 26 games after recovering a fumble on special teams. The defense has always been strong under coach Brian Flores but it has been exposed the last three games. The Dolphins have given up a total of 93 points over that span and must improve quickly against a potent Bucs offense.
