Miami Dolphins vs Tennessee Titans News & Picks

Expert Picks

The Miami Dolphins (8-7) head to Music City to take on the Tennessee Titans (10-5) for an AFC matchup in Week 17 at Nissan Stadium. The Dolphins took out the New Orleans Saints 20-3 on Monday night, while the Titans beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17. Live Las Vegas odds have the Titans at -3.5 and the point total at 41.

The Dolphins extended their winning streak to seven games after dominating the Saints on the road. The defense stole the show as it completely shut down the Saints, limiting them to three points while collecting a season-high eight sacks. The Dolphins were incredible, stopped the Saints on all 12 of their third-down chances and conceded just 164 yards.

Offensively, Miami totaled 20 points against a tough Saints defense but mixed up its play-calling noticeably. Jaylen Waddle was the clear go-to offensive weapon, recording 10 catches for 92 yards and a touchdown en route to breaking the team’s rookie receiving record. Other than that, Tua Tagovailoa finished with 198 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and the ground game didn’t contribute much, averaging 2.9 yards per carry.

The Tennessee Titans came up with two sacks and two interceptions in a big win over the 49ers. The Titans’ defense held the 49ers to just seven second-half points and 83 yards to seal the win and are holding opponents to 12 points per game in their last three contests.

The offense got a huge boost from A.J. Brown, who reeled in 11 receptions for 145 yards and a score. The offense was shut out in the first half, but Ryan Tannehill rebounded well, completing 75 percent of his passes while the offense put up 20 points.
