Week 2 of the National Football League will feature a pair of NFC South teams on Sunday afternoon. The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers will battle to see who moves on to 2-0. The Saints are coming off a blowout win over the Green Bay Packers while Carolina held on to beat the New York Jets. The NFL odds and lines show the Saints at -3 and the total comes in at 46.

Gone is Drew Brees from the Saints offense, but in is Jameis Winston and he was impressive in the win. While throwing for just 148 yards, he threw five touchdown passes. Without the services of Michael Thomas, he was able to find Deonte Harris for 72 yards while Juwan Johnson caught two touchdown passes. Alvin Kamara was the stud in the offense on the ground with 83 yards rushing.

The Saints held Green Bay to just a field goal. Going up against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ offense, they forced two interceptions and held the Packers to just 43 total yards on the ground in a 38-3 romp.

Carolina is seeking a new look with Sam Darnold under center. Darnold got some revenge on his old team by throwing for 279 yards in the game. He found another former Jets offensive player in Robby Anderson for the lone touchdown for Carolina.

Christian McCaffrey is a complete stud for the Panthers. He finished Sunday with 98 yards on the ground and another 89 via the passing game. McCaffrey did not get into the end zone but kept the offense moving down the field. The Panthers’ defense was a big story, forcing an interception and six sacks against quarterback Zach Wilson. The Panthers also held the Jets to just 45 rushing yards.
