The New York Giants head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs for a Week 8 matchup on Monday Night Football.

The Giants (2-5) got back in the win column with a nice win over the Carolina Panthers 25-3, while the Chiefs (3-4) fell miserably against the Tennessee Titans 27-3. Early NFL odds opened with the Chiefs as the -10 favorite, with the point total at 52.

New York’s offense got a little creative last Sunday. We knew Daniel Jones could throw and run, but he made one of the catches of the year, reeling in a one-handed grab. The offense had a nice day in accumulating 322 yards and 25 points. The 20th-ranked offense will look to have another solid game against the 28th-ranked Chiefs defense.

The Giants’ defense finally broke through after giving up 82 points over their previous two games. The pass rush got home six times and forced Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold out of the game. The Giants have been solid against the pass, ranking 14th in the league, but will have a tough matchup against Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City’s’ stock is falling rapidly after getting torched by the Titans on Sunday. The Chiefs were unable to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball, and it resulted in the lowest-scoring game of the Mahomes/Andy Reid era.

There weren’t many positives on defense, but the Chiefs held Derrick Henry, the league’s leading rusher, to 86 yards and forced an interception from Ryan Tannehill. Other than that, the pass defense was once again horrendous, allowing 275 yards through the air. That included a touchdown pass by Henry.
