NFL Hits Mexico City for MNF Matchup
Monday night football odds will feature the NFL’s final 2022 International Series matchup. For the first time since 2019, the NFL will head South of the border as the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals will meet in Mexico City. With Estadio Azteca over 7,000 feet above sea level, both squads’ endurance will be tested.
The Cardinals (4-6) could narrow the gap in the NFC West against rival San Francisco. The 49ers (5-4) are looking for their third consecutive win. In the last four games, Arizona is 2-2 against the spread (ATS) while San Francisco is 1-3 ATS.
Let’s check the latest NFL odds, stats, injury reports, and NFL lines for 49ers vs Cardinals. We’ve plenty of Vegas NFL odds for you to consider.
49ers Contenders Once Again
After losing to the Atlanta Falcons (28-14) and the Kansas City Chiefs (44-23) in back-to-back weeks, the San Francisco 49ers have turned it around. The 49ers are on a two-game winning streak and have held opponents to 15 points per game during the span. Running back Christian McCaffrey has fit seamlessly iton the San Francisco run game.
The 49ers are playing like true Super Bowl contenders with +800 odds to win it all. Plus, the sportsbook still has San Francisco as the favorite (-225) to win the NFC West. With the Seattle Seahawks at 6-4, the 49ers can move into a tie for first place with a win.
Over the last two games, the 49ers have one turnover compared to six combined turnovers in Weeks 6 and Week 7. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has improved his play with a 114.9 passer rating since Week 8. Most importantly, the run game is taking shape with All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams, running back Elijah Mitchell, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel returning from injuries.
One prop to take this week is McCaffrey scoring a touchdown. He has four touchdowns in the last two games and had the most carries in the NFL within the 5-yard line last week with four attempts.
Cardinals Leaning on Air Attack
The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a 27-17 win over the Los Angeles Rams, but both starting QBs were out. Arizona has a long list of injuries going into MNF odds. Quarterback Kyler Murray’s (hamstring) status is crucial; he is currently questionable. Also, wide receiver Marquise Brown (foot) could return this week and top cornerback Byron Murphy is questionable with a back injury.
If Murray plays, the Cardinals should find success through the air. The 49ers boast the NFL’s top run defense and rank eighth in allowed passing yards per game. However, San Francisco’s cornerbacks are weak. Two weeks ago, wide receiver Cooper Kupp had over 120 receiving yards and Chiefs wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster posted 124 yards in Week 7.
San Francisco does not fare well against star receivers, which means DeAndre Hopkins, who had 98 yards last week, should have a big day. Plus, wide receiver Rondale Moore has posted over 65 receiving yards in three consecutive games.

In Week 10, backup QB Colt McCoy played well with 238 passing yards, a 70.3% completion percentage, and a 96.5 passer rating. With or without Murray, look for Hopkins to hit a prop bet this week.

49ers vs Cardinals Picks & Prediction
High altitude will be a big factor in this matchup. Estadio Azteca is about 7,200 feet above sea level, compared to Denver at about 5,200 feet. The 49ers, in particular, could really struggle as San Francisco is only 16 feet above sea level. Go for the under as both teams will struggle with fatigue.
As mentioned, the Cardinals’ wide receivers should have some success. However, Arizona has allowed the sixth-most sacks (27) while San Francisco has the third-most sacks (29). The Cardinals’ passing game will not do enough damage, leading to 49ers win, but give me Arizona to cover and drop the 49ers to 1-4 ATS in the last five.
The San Francisco 49ers are listed at -370 in our Vegas lines. This means that if you wager $100 on the 49ers, you have a chance to win $27. The Arizona Cardinals are +290, offering a chance to win $290 on a $100 wager.
The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the San Francisco 49ers a 78.72% chance to win, with the Arizona Cardinals at 25.64%. Be sure to check all Thursday night football tonight odds for the 49ers vs Cardinals.
