Against the Spread (Devlin Duckett)
The Buccaneers handed the Packers their worst loss of the season in Week 6, beating Green Bay 38-10. However, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ offense have been morphing into a juggernaut during the second half of the season.
Green Bay has won seven straight, and is averaging more than 33 PPG over the course of that winning streak. Last week, the Packers took it to the Rams’ top-ranked defense, overwhelming them 32-18 in the Divisional Round. Green Bay amassed an impressive 484 yards of total offense on L.A., and Tampa is in for a real challenge. Rodgers has posted an unbelievable average passer rating of 135.8 in his previous three contests.
This is the first NFC Championship game that Rodgers has played at home in his entire career. The Packers are 8-1 this season at Lambeau Field, including the playoff win vs the Rams. Even with the line at 3½, you need to take Green Bay here. The Packers are 11-4 ATS over their last 15 games against teams with a winning record. Rodgers is in the zone, and we can expect Green Bay to deliver a convincing revenge victory over Tampa Bay. Packers 34, Buccaneers 23
Over/Under (Zack Robinson)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have scored 61 points in two NFL playoff games. They average 30.5 points per game, second best among the teams that already played two games (Cleveland Browns averaged 32.5 points per game).
Tom Brady has been sensational. The veteran QB has thrown for 580 yards and four touchdowns; he also ran for one touchdown.
Surprisingly enough, Cameron Brate has become the No. 1 target; he leads the team in receiving yards during the postseason with 130, while some big names such as Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown finished the game against the New Orleans Saints with just one reception.
Through the ground, Leonard Fournette has become the main weapon, but Ronald Jones is back, and he should be more involved next Sunday.
The total has gone over in 14 of Tampa Bay’s last 20 games against an opponent from the NFC.
Last weekend, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers scored 32 points against one of the best defenses in the league (Los Angeles Rams, with Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey).
Rodgers finished with 293 total yards and three total touchdowns. He connected nine times with Davante Adams (66 yards and one touchdown), while he threw a bomb to Allen Lazard (96 yards and one touchdown) to seal the deal.
The Packers QB has thrown just one interception in his last seven games.
Green Bay also have a good backfield thanks to Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams and AJ Dillon. The total has gone over in the Packers’ last eight games played in January.
The Buccaneers beat the Packers 38-10 during the regular season (Week 6), but this time you should go over in a back and forth game.
