All eyes will be on two of the best teams in the NFL when the visiting Tennessee Titans and the Los Angeles Rams face off in prime time at SoFi Stadium. The Titans (6-2) are coming off a thrilling overtime victory over the Indianapolis Colts 34-31, while the Rams (7-1) downed the Houston Texans 38-22. Early NFL odds opened with the Rams at -4, but has quickly moved to -7½ with the total at 54.
The Titans were hit with the injury bug as star running back Derrick Henry will be out indefinitely after requiring foot surgery. They got off to a slow start against the Colts, down 14-0 in the first quarter. However, the team was relentless with Ryan Tannehill throwing for three scores while A.J. Brown went into beast mode, tallying 10 catches for 155 yards, including a 57 yard bomb.
Tennessee’s defense has been lackluster, giving up the ninth-most passing yards and allowing 24.4 points per game. The Titans failed to put much pressure on Carson Wentz but they got a huge interception from Elijah Molden, who returned an interception for a touchdown.
The Rams went down to Houston and won comfortably with Matthew Stafford and the offense rolling. The offense continues to click on all cylinders with Staffrod tossing three touchdowns. Cooper Kupp caught his league-leading 10th touchdown pass while Darrell Henderson rushed for his fifth touchdown.
The defense is relentless, allowing just 21 points per game and ranking 10th in rushing defense. The Rams have held their opponents under 22 points in their last four games and should get a big boost with the addition of All-Pro linebacker Von Miller, acquired in a trade with Denver on Monday.
