The Chicago Bears host the Washington Commanders Thursday night football odds in what could prove one of the ugliest primetime games we get this season (as a point of reference, see Colts at Broncos last week). Here, neither team has impressed on offense, with both quarterbacks turning over the ball at an alarming rate.
Let’s check the latest NFL odds, stats, injury reports, and NFL lines for Commanders vs Bears. We’ve plenty of las Vegas NFL odds for you to consider.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders have any number of issues, but, as coach Ron Rivera was quick to allude, their problems are mainly quarterback related. It was shocking to see a coach throw his quarterback under the bus that way, even if that quarterback is Carson Wentz. Rivera backtracked and apologized, but the damage was done. Whatever issues Wentz had before, expect them to the compound after realizing his coach has lost faith.
Wentz is ranked a solid fifth in passing yards (1,390) but has a touchdown/interception ratio of just 10-to-6. An abysmal quarterback rating of 38.2 as well. There’s also a shoulder injury that limited him at Monday’s practice. The Commanders’ rushing attack is equally to blame here, Washington hasn’t been able to get anything going on the ground (3.2 yards per carry). Chicago’s defense is a sieve, however, the Commanders do not have the tools to capitalize.
Chicago Bears
With offensive issues of their own, Chicago is seeing a once-promising year slowly slip away. The season started with a big win over the San Francisco 49ers (and the elements), then a Week 3 last-play win against the Houston Texans. However, back-to-back conference losses (New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings) have the Bears on the ropes heading into Week 6.
Offensive struggles that sank this team in 2021 are back, the Bears rank 31st (next-to-last) in yards per game (274). Quarterback Justin Fields has been awful, too, with a completion percentage of just 55.7% (679 yards), and three touchdowns against four interceptions. Numbers on the ground don’t gloss over his poor passing. Chicago is desperate.

TNF odds will be the first time these two teams meet since 2019 and only the sixth time since 2010. Washington is 7-1 in the last eight games dating to 2004, but Chicago won the last meeting.

Commanders vs Bears Prediction
This game is going to be a mess on offense, with two struggling squads. We had the Commanders with a slight edge in this department, but after Rivera’s candid comments about his quarterback, we are second-guessing ourselves. If the coach does not have faith in Wentz, can we? Expect the Bears to eke out a win, and not pretty.
