The AFC East has gone from being a race between the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and New York Jets trying to catch up to the Buffalo Bills, to becoming one of the more balanced and competitive divisions in its conference. Now, with the 2023 NFL draft upon us, the time for all four teams to start loading up on fresh talents to further deepen their rosters to make a claim for the divisional title is here.

Starting With Buffalo

For a team like Buffalo, staying atop the division, all while trying to live up to the expectations that everybody around the league has constantly held for them in the past couple of seasons is a challenge all in itself.

While some football experts and critics have made it a point to signal Buffalo’s deficiencies in their roster when it comes to offering Josh Allen protection, and finding more depth in certain defensive positions, maybe some of Buffalo’s answers to their problems might be waiting for them in this year’s NFL draft.

And What About The Rest Of The Division?

Focusing on Miami, New England, and New York on the other hand, finding the right pieces to fill in their respective gaps without going overboard in the free agency market will be the name of the game. With all three teams looking to spruce up their offensive lines, all while finding new options on specific defensive positions, a strong draft strategy could end up paying much bigger dividends than splurging in what promises to be a heated free agency market.

Buffalo Bills Mock Draft

Is it time for Bills fans to start worrying about the future? Not necessarily, but worrying about landing some very good prospects in this year’s NFL draft to further buff up their roster for the upcoming season sounds about right. After another season in which Buffalo was pitted as the favorites to go all the way to the Super Bowl, only to be trumped along the way in the playoffs, alarms are starting to blare at Orchard Park.

With ever-so-present needs in the team’s offensive line and linebacker positions, Buffalo will be looking to make the most out of their six draft picks, starting with the 27th pick in the first round.

So who should the Bills be putting all of their attention on? And how will each potential pick help the Bills as they enter the season once again as one of the favorite teams in the AFC to make it to the Super Bowl?

Miami Dolphins Mock Draft

The Miami Dolphins are both in a good and bad place right now as we head into the 2023 NFL draft. While the Dolphins will be focusing on strengthening their QB department by bringing in a veteran through the free agency market, Miami’s agenda when it comes to the draft will be full of offensive needs to keep up with their competitors in the AFC East.

Out of the blue, the most important position to focus on for the Dolphins will be at running back. Given that the team has no runners under contract entering the new season, scoring at least one good option at RB will be essential for the team. Also, with Mike Gesicki’s future pointing towards a departure from Miami, addressing the TE room should also be Miami’s highest priority.

Defensively, strengthening the linebacker and cornerback positions are the two other pivotal working points for the Dolphins in this year’s NFL draft. So who will they be targeting and what will their strategy look like? Jump in and find out.

New England Patriots Mock Draft

Another season has come and gone with Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots looking to once again be the devastating franchise they were a few years back. As the 2023 season approaches, and with the NFL draft being the league’s first big event of the season, what will the Pats be focusing on to further strengthen their roster?

With the team in serious need of help in the offensive tackle, cornerback, and wide receiver positions, will Belichick once again surprise us all with some out-of-the-blue picks, or will New England make a splash come NFL draft time and truly tend to their needs.

New York Jets Mock Draft

The New York Jets had the best draft class in last year’s draft. Landing last season’s Defensive Rookie of the Year, CB Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, as well as 2022’s Offensive Rookie of the Year, WR Garrett Wilson, alongside a slew of other very valuable up-and-coming players, New York would love nothing more than to recreate their success once again in the 2023 NFL draft.
