2024 NFL Predictions: Can Caleb Williams Lead Bears?
- Drafting QB Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall is truly starting to pay off for the Bears.
- After a rough start to the season, Chicago has started to settle into its new groove.
- Williams is leading a revolution in Chicago’s offense and football culture.
- BetUS sportsbook has the Bears at +1800 odds to win the NFC title.
I’m not going to lie. After seeing the Chicago Bears struggle through the first three weeks of the season, even while being deemed as potential NFL betting odds protagonists from early on, with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams not looking close to what he had been advertised to be, I was getting ready to be the first person to offer a box of matches to burn down the team.
But then, Williams and Co. turned from frightened-looking cubs to vicious grizzlies in three weeks, showing a completely different level of football and proving to haters all around that a change was brewing at Soldier Field.
With three wins in a row and a 4-2 record in the toughest division in the league, the Bears are not backing down from any fight and look like they are only starting to get into their groove, meaning that the best might still be yet to come.
So, what lessons have Williams and the Bears left us thus far, and what do the team’s NFL betting predictions look like for the remainder of the season?

Whatever Chicago Is Doing, It Needs to Continue With It!
Raise your hand if you’ve ever either made a joke about how much the Bears used to suck at football or if you, as a Bears fan, had to endure people making such kinds of jokes? If you are part of the first group of people, then suck on that! The Bears finally look like a functional, exciting, and NFL betting-worthy squad.
If, on the other hand, you’re part of the second group of people, congratulations, you’ve been through enough BS with this team never to catch a break. For now, just sit back and enjoy; you deserve it.

This Bears’ transformation is not just the result of drafting Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. It is the result of the front office making smart decisions and knowing what talents to bring to an organization where stars were not needed as much as a winning culture was.
Yes, bringing in Williams, Rome Odunze, Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift has helped the offense immensely, and the defense continues to ball out, but at the end of the day, this is all the result of finally buckling down and thinking things through before making rash calls.
Defensively, Chicago is the sixth-ranked team in terms of defense against the pass. The fact that cornerback Jaylon Johnson’s +9000 odds to win the 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award almost feels like a joke, considering how he has elevated the team’s secondary to new heights.
And try running the ball on them. This Bears’ defense against the run is also a top-10 ranked unit, showing that it’s easier to get a New York slice in a Chicago pizzeria than score on this team.
And on offense? Honestly, while I would tweak up the offensive line to offer Williams more protection, there’s really nothing to complain about here as well. Considering what the team was dealing with last season, having an offense with so many capable weapons now gives the team a great outlook.

Can The Bears Claw and Roar Their Way Into Playoffs?
Looking at the Bears’ performance thus far this season and then reviewing the rest of the team’s schedule, there’s plenty to discuss and analyze, especially looking at the team’s immediate future.
On the one hand, I said it once, and I’ll say it twice: The Bears have finally found the tools to transform their football culture, and from its appearance, it’s paying off in the best way possible.
No, they’re not a juggernaut of a team, but as NFL betting lines fans can recall, compared to previous Bears squads of earlier seasons, right now feels like a dream after a long stint of nightmares. It’s making believers out of anybody willing to give the team a chance. Simple as that.

Williams looks like a perfect NFL pick to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. If he can lead the Bears to a deep playoff run, he could also surprise fans with a strong push for the 2024 MVP award. Of course, though, for this to happen, Chicago will need to make it out of the remainder of its schedule not only alive but thriving.
As soon as the Bears return from their bye week, a pivotal road matchup against Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders awaits. Just picture it: the two best rookie QBs the league has seen in the past couple of years duking it out? How can you not be excited for what’s to come?
Afterwards, having to deal with all six of their NFC North matchups against the Lions, Packers and Vikings await, plus a visit to the San Francisco 49ers stand out as the team’s most significant tests to show where they really stand.
As far as an NFL futures prediction goes, I say that until proven wrong, I’m buying into the Bears making the playoffs narrative. If Williams has done so much already for the team in so little time, imagine what he could do in the postseason.
