2025 NFL Mock Draft 2.0: Ward to Tennessee, Shedeur to Vegas and More

Tennessee Is on the Clock With the No. 1 Pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, so Who’s Going Where?

Alright Kids, Take Out Your Boards, It’s Mock Draft 2.0 Time

It hasn’t even been a full week since the Philadelphia Eagles became Super Bowl champions once again, but who even remembers that?

Just kidding Eagles fans. You go ahead and enjoy your victory parade, blast Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares until you can’t no more, you’ve earned it.

With all NFL news now centering around the 2025 NFL draft, it’s that time again. Time to play pretend GMs for all 32 teams and pick like our future depended on it.

Or at least our mental stability heading into next season.

If you’re ready to do a little mock drafting 2.0 put your hands up, because it’s starting in 3…2…1

Until Further Notice: ‘With the No.1 Pick the Titans Select…’

Unless somebody sells me on another idea, I’m sticking to my gut and predicting the Titans will take Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick of the draft.

I said it in my first mock draft and I will die on that hill unless something truly unexpected happens, like trading their pick away as some NFL rumors sites have started speaking about.

But no. It won’t happen, it shouldn’t happen. I don’t even care for Tennessee, yet still, please Titans, be smart here, don’t let that happen.

The Titans can’t risk losing out on one of the three best QB prospects in this year’s draft to go for a veteran QB or run it back with Will Levis and Mason Howard. So, why not just take the most talented passer in the class?

Cam knows he’s H-I-M. Make it happen Tennessee.

Picks Two to Eleven

2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State

Now that everybody knows Myles Garrett wants out of Cleveland, it’s time for the Browns to find his replacement, and who better than Penn State’s Abdul Carter?

Carter is arguably the best defensive talent in the draft and a player you can build a defense around. Just like Garrett when he was first taken by the Browns a few years back.

3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB, Colorado

What? No QB for the Giants? No, not on my board. I don’t honestly see the Giants going for a passer here, just like I did before

If I had to dish out NFL picks and predictions on what the Giants will do to fill their QB1 spot, I’d take them going all in for Matthew Stafford, as long as the third pick is not included in the deal.

So, with all this said, Travis Hunter, you’re still my pick for the Giants!

With reports saying Hunter, this season’s Heisman Trophy winner, will go to the upcoming NFL Combine as a cornerback, be it that he ends up playing offense or defense in the pros, it would be in New York’s best interest to take Colorado’s superstar.

4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Drake Maye needs protection. Mike Vrabel knows it. Everybody in New England knows it. Even your neighbor, who could not care less about football, knows it. That’s why taking LSU monster offensive tackle Will Campbell is the perfect move.

New England has enough cap space to go nuts in the free agency market, so taking Campbell could be their best draft deal.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

Did anybody else feel an ick after watching Jacksonville’s new head coach, Liam Coen, say, “Duvaaaal?

Anyway, while the Jags could go offense first here, I still have them taking the best defensive tackle in the draft to see if they can finally finish building the defensive line they’ve been investing so much in for the past few seasons.

6. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

All right, for all you Shedeur Sanders fans, how does a Sanders/Las Vegas Raiders link-up sound?

The minute after Shedeur’s dreams of making it in the pros started taking shape, the potential bidding war for which team would end up snagging up Deion “Prime Time” Sanders’ son (no, not you Shilo) started heating up.

Now, with Pete Carroll in as head coach, and with the team needing a new franchise QB, it makes absolute sense for Shedeur and the Raiders to become an item.

7. New York Jets: Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia

Still not over the news of the New York Jets telling Aaron Rodgers it’s a no on him continuing in 2025?

Well, get over it because the “J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS” are on the clock, and they are not getting their new franchise QB in the draft if it’s up to me…

With a defense-driven head coach now calling the shots, Haason Reddick being a complete and utter bust for the team after all his contract drama, and Jermaine Johnson coming back from a season-ending Achilles injury, the Jets find their next big defensive star in Georgia’s edge rusher Mykel Williams.

Pairing Williams with Johnson, Will McDonald IV, Quinnen and Quincy Williams, and hopefully Jamien Sherwood (please Jets, don’t let him leave) could make for a freakishly scary Jets defense for 2025.

8. Carolina Panthers: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Bryce Young needs help. He has Xavier Legette and Adam Thielen, but with Thielen looking closer to retiring than continuing to suit up for the Panthers, Arizona’s wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan fits the part perfectly to be the team’s WR1 for the future.

Carolina, do the right thing, get Young some weapons to work with.

9. New Orleans Saints: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

If you just hired a coach who is fresh off leading Philadelphia’s offense in its Super Bowl LIX win, raise your hand! Ok New Orleans Saints, we see you after hiring Kellen Moore.

It’s no secret the Saints need help in various positions, and looking for an edge could make perfect sense for a first-round pick. Still, given Moore’s offensive background, and considering NOLA’s flop last year, letting Brock Bowers go to the Raiders instead of taking him, I have them taking Penn State’s tight end Tyler Warren.

10. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks Jr. OT, Texas

Let me paint a picture here. You have a team, a historic franchise, with one of the most loyal fan bases in the league, a respectable roster, and a new head coach.

That team has a rather respectable roster, has all the tools to be a feared opponent for any team’s NFL schedule, and even has a quarterback who was deemed as a generational talent coming into the league.

Yet, that team always manages to screw themselves over, take fans and leave with a taste in their mouths that can only be compared to Jeppson’s Malört (if you’ve been to Chicago or know about Malört you know what I’m talking about).

If you haven’t guessed it yet, yes, I’m talking about the Chicago Bears, a team that needs to find Caleb Williams some much-needed O-line protection if it wishes to win NFL games next season.

Enter Kelvin Banks Jr., OT from the Texas Longhorns.

Banks has the frame, the skill set and the talent to be able to start right away for Chicago be it at left tackle or even inside at guard. The funny thing is Chicago needs help in both of those positions. So if you add one to the other…

11. San Francisco 49ers: James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee

Nick Bosa is a beast, but he’s not getting any younger. At #11 the San Francisco 49ers have the perfect chance to find the perfect weapon/prospect in Tennessee’s James Pearce Jr. to pair next to Bosa and once again make the Niners front seven D a QB wrecking machine.

Sometimes, picks come as simple as that.

Dallas Takes the Plunge

Hear me out here; this is just an idea I’ve been reading up on, but before you come at me, hear…me…out.

You have Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys, currently holding the #12 picks in the draft. Yes, those Cowboys who, after yet another title-less season, are looking to turn the league on its head and become a threat, or at least not a joke anymore.

You also have Garrett, a player who, after officially requesting a trade from the Browns, would welcome the idea of joining Dallas with open arms, just like he did before joining the league in 2017.

Cowboys star Micah Parsons has already made it clear that he’s willing to do whatever is necessary moneywise to make room for Garrett. The idea alone of Micah and Myles pairing up sounds frightening for potential opposing offenses and incredibly enticing for Dallas-betting odds fans.

So, in this mock, Jones gives Cleveland this year’s first, next year’s first, a couple more picks, a house, some cattle, and everything else to get Garrett.

And with that said:

12. Cleveland Browns

Having taken Carter to hopefully become the new Garrett, the Browns can now start thinking about targeting offensive weapons. Considering the dumpster fire that is Cleveland’s offense right now, why not look for a new centerpiece to take over the offense and try to revive it? Is somebody like running back Ashton Jeanty?

I already had the Cowboys taking Jeanty at twelve, considering what the team could do to make fans happy after Mike McCarthy’s departure. So, in this mock, Jeanty stays at twelve; instead of going to Texas, he goes to Ohio.

Rest of the Lot

13. Miami Dolphins: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama

14. Indianapolis Colts: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

15. Atlanta Falcons: Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M

16. Arizona Cardinals: Mike Green, Edge, Marshall

17. Cincinnati Bengals: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Even if the Cincinnati Bengals do end up losing Tee Higgins in free agency, when it comes to the draft it would be best to fix their defensive flaws with their first-round pick. They can find strong receiver prospects in later rounds.

At #17 and with a clear need for safety to buff up their secondary, Georgia’s Malaki Starks, the best prospect in his position is the man to target.

18. Seattle Seahawks: Donovan Jackson, IOL, Ohio State

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Princely, Umanmielen, Edge, Ole Miss

20. Denver Broncos: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

22. Los Angeles Chargers: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

23. Green Bay Packers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Don’t let anybody fool you. When it comes to cornerbacks, not dual-threat players like Hunter, but pure-bred corners, Michigan’s Will Johnson is my man, a reason why I have him as one of my top 5 prospects to watch in the upcoming NFL combine.

If he’s still around when the Green Bay Packers are on the clock, it’s a no-brainer for Jordan Love’s team.

24. Minnesota Vikings: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

25. Houston Texans: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

26. Los Angeles Rams: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Since the Rams decided it was time to let Cooper Kupp find a new home they’ll be needing a new WR2 to pair with Puka Nacua.

Ohio State has been known as a star WR-producing school, which is why Emeka Egbuka sounds like a perfect match for the Rams at #26.

27. Baltimore Ravens: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

28. Detroit Lions: Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M

29. Washington Commanders: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

30. Buffalo Bills: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

31. Kansas City Chiefs: Shavon Revel Jr. CB, East Carolina

32. Philadelphia Eagles: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
