Betting Super Bowl 2025: 4 Records That Could Get Broken in Eagles vs Chiefs Game

1. Eagles RB Saquon Barkley Has Chance to Break the Super Bowl Rushing Yards Record

It is hard to imagine the Eagles winning the Super Bowl without Saquon Barkley having a massive game.

Former Washington running back Timmy Smith holds the record for most rushing yards in a Super Bowl with 204. Smith has held the record since 1988, more than nine years before Barkley was even born.

Barkley posted 205 rushing yards against the Rams in the divisional round. Barkley could have a historic outing if the Eagles pull off an upset against all NFL odds. The star running back has a propensity for breakout runs which could significantly add to his rushing total against the Chiefs.

2. Can Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Make 2025 the Most Watched Super Bowl Ever?

There are plenty of memes going around the majority of the country fading this Super Bowl matchup. Safe to say there is a large segment of the population that is sick of the Chiefs and maybe even more fatigued by Taylor Swift camera shots.

It does not help that this is a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl. That said, there are a few reasons why this could be the most-watched Super Bowl ever.

Last year’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and 49ers holds the record with 123.4 million people. A big part of that draw is the Chiefs and yes, the Swifties. In addition, Kansas City has a chance to make history with a three-peat.

Plenty will also be tuning in for Kendrick Lamar. Let’s see if we see the record broken.

3. Super Bowl Rushing Attempts Could Be in Danger With Saquon Barkley

There is a scenario where the Eagles take the game out of Jalen Hurts’ hands and attempt to win a Super Bowl with Barkley’s gigantic thighs. Another former Washington running back holds this record as well.

Legendary rusher John Riggins holds the record for most Super Bowl rushing attempts with 38 in 1983. The more attempts Barkley has, the Eagles’ time of possession increases.

Basic math tells NFL betting fans that the longer the Eagles have the ball, the less Patrick Mahomes can do damage. It’s admittedly a long shot, but keep an eye on Barkley’s rushing attempts in this game. There is no next game to save Barkley’s legs for so expect a heavy dose of the playmaker in the Super Bowl.

Something to think about when you bet online.

4. Will Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Break His Own Super Bowl Record?

It is clear Travis Kelce is not the same player during the regular season, but the star still has the same impact in the postseason. Kelce set the record for most receiving yards by a tight end in the 2021 Super Bowl with 133.

Could we see Kelce step back in the time machine with Swift watching from a NOLA luxury suite? The Chiefs do not exactly have a plethora of explosive weapons, and we have seen Mahomes still turn to Kelce in crucial situations.

Rob Gronkowski’s two touchdowns in the same Super Bowl set the record for most TDs by a tight end in one game. Keep an eye on that record as well when making your Super Bowl LIX predictions.
