Overview of BetUS Unfiltered with Warren Sapp
The entertainment and sports knowledge you will glean from BetUS Unfiltered’s premiere episode is unsurpassed in the sports-entertainment genre.
Where else can you gain insight into critical NFL games and trends other than by listening to co-host Warren Sapp, a Super Bowl champ and seven-time Pro Bowler? The Hall-of-Fame defensive tackle is one of the most charismatic players to wear an NFL uniform.
“I’m so excited to be co-hosting this Unfiltered Podcast with my partners at BetUS,” Sapp said after the premiere episode, which featured co-host Brian Jones and his CBS colleague and former college coach Rick Neuheisel. “We will be talking sports, be joined by some surprise guests and sharing betting tips along the way. You know me and that I’m never too shy about giving my opinion on anything. Get ready for some #UnfilteredSapp!”
What NFL superstar does Sapp call “The Purple Unicorn” and why does the great defensive tackle, who had 96.5 sacks in his NFL career, think of this player as unique and special?
“You have never seen anything like this,” Sapp said about Patriots’ QB Cam Newton. “Throw the ball 59, 60 miles an hour. That big, that strong, that fast all day long.”
Coach Neuheisel had an interesting take on what he called “a value proposition” of a game between the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.
“You’ve got the most valuable quarterback on one side,” Neuheisel said, “And you’ve got the best value quarterback on the other. What they got Cam Newton for this year makes Bill Belichick look like Robin Hood, stealing from everybody and just handing off to his owner.”
Coach Neuheisel and Sapp also agreed to disagree on Newton vs. Patrick Mahomes Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. They settled on a friendly wager with Sapp graciously giving seven points to the former UCLA, Washington and Colorado head coach.
What’s on the line? How about a bottle of fine wine? Make sure mine is “Cabernet,” Sapp joked.
Jones, put Sapp and Neuheisel on the spot with a rapid-fire “Blitz” segment that tested the knowledge of both player and coach.
“This show offers fans the best of both worlds,” said Jones, who attended UCLA and Texas before playing in the NFL with the Colts, Raiders and Saints. “World-class sports analysis from two former players with extensive media experience and a long history of giving fans the real story. Fans will feel like they are inside the locker room with our stories and insight -– I am so excited to invite everyone to join us for the most realist ride in sports.”
And what do you get when they give Warren Sapp, who famously wore No. 99, for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Raiders, that many seconds to opine, Unfiltered.
You’ll have to listen to the premiere episode of “BetUS Unfiltered” as the hot-button issues of the NFL, college football, sports and entertainment are pushed by Sapp, Jones and a carousel of weekly guests.
It will be the ultimate merry-go-round ride for anyone who lives sports and loves to learn what life was like for superstars on the field, in the locker room and how they played once the clock hit 0:00.
