Head-to-Head
The Atlanta Falcons have dominated this rivalry in recent years, coming into this one having won six of the last seven meetings.

Overall, the Falcons lead the all-time series 28-25, though they have lost three of the last five times the two met in Atlanta. And Tom Brady has had some success against the Falcons while with the Patriots (think Super Bowl LI), so keep that in mind when you’re betting online.

Last Game
It wasn’t particularly dominant, but it was a win, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers snapped a two-game losing streak with a 26-14 home win over the Minnesota Vikings. Tom Brady threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns but the Buccaneers benefited from Minnesota kicker Dan Bailey missing an extra point and three field goal attempts in the contest in this NFL week 14 matchup.
The Vikings held the ball nearly twice as long as the Buccaneers, and Dalvin Cook ran for 102 yards against Tampa Bay’s league-leading run defense. But in the end, Tampa Bay made the plays it had to to move a step closer to its first playoff berth in 13 years.
Stats Pack
The Buccaneers would like to get a more balanced offense, and that showed against the Vikings. Brady attempted just 23 passes — his fewest in a game since 2016 — as Tampa Bay tried to get the running game going. The Buccaneers had success on the ground, with Ronald Jones II finishing with 80 yards on 18 carries.
Trends
The Buccaneers defense is in the top five in the league with 14 interceptions this season, but the win over Minnesota was the team’s second straight contest without picking off the opposing quarterback. Atlanta’s Matt Ryan — like Brady — has just 11 interceptions this season, though three of those came on Sunday, so it will be interesting to see if Tampa Bay will go three straight without a pick or if Ryan’s difficulties continue. Remember those stats when making your NFL picks this week.

Last Game
Atlanta struggled to hold onto the football against the host Los Angeles Chargers and ended up losing on a field goal on the last play of the game, 20-17. Matt Ryan threw three interceptions in the game, including one with 36 seconds to play that set up the game-winning drive by Los Angeles.
The Falcons failed to score after halftime and were outgained 345-319 in the game. Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert riddled the Atlanta secondary for 243 yards and two touchdowns, as the Falcons dropped their second game in a row in this NFL matchup.
Stats Pack
For the second time this season, wide receiver Russell Gage threw a pass on Sunday. This time, he completed it, throwing a 39-yard touchdown to wide receiver Calvin Ridley. It was the first touchdown pass by someone other than Ryan for Atlanta since Matt Schaub threw one in Week 12 of the 2019 season.
Trends
The Falcons continue to give up big chunks of yardage, ranking 28th in the league, allowing 390.6 yards per game to the opposition. There was a bit of an improvement against the Chargers, giving up just 345 yards one week after the New Orleans Saints gained 424 yards against Atlanta in NFL week 13. Still, if the defense can’t improve and get opposing teams off the field, it makes it very difficult on the Falcons offense.

Buccaneers vs Falcons Week 15 Betting Analysis:Betting on the Game
Point Spread
The NFL odds have the Buccaneers favored in this one on the road. Tampa Bay has been an up-and-down team this season, exploding for big games one week, then struggling to score the next. The Buccaneers are 7-6 against the spread this season, while the Falcons are 5-8, including 2-5 at home. Look for Tampa Bay to have the motivation for a big performance in this one.
Moneyline
The Falcons are 2-5 straight up at home, with victories over Las Vegas and Denver. Atlanta’s defense just has not been able to keep opposing teams shut down for long. Look for Tampa Bay to try to establish the run in this one, then use play-action to go deep with Brady looking for his big-play receivers.
Over/Under
This is one of those NFL matchups between two veteran quarterbacks that could turn into a slugfest. Unfortunately, Ryan hasn’t shown a lot of consistency, and the Falcons have averaged just 16.5 points over the last two weeks. A total of 51 is a pretty big number for these two teams, so we’d lean towards going with the under.
