This game is extremely important to both teams, as both division titles are still up in air. Indianapolis is in contention for the AFC South, and Pittsburgh is still expected to win the AFC North. The Colts can clinch a playoff berth with a win according to Si.com, while the Steelers have already secured their playoff spot. Pittsburgh (+2000) only has slightly better Super Bowl LV online sports betting odds than Indianapolis (+2400), and this promises to be one heck of a battle.

The Colts jumped out in front of the Texans 14-0, and then had to fend off a furious comeback attempt. Houston QB Deshaun Watson did everything he could to win this game, completing 33-of-41 passes on a respectable Indy defense. Watson threw for 373 yards and two touchdowns, but the Colts forced two fumbles and that made all the difference.

Indianapolis committed zero turnovers and played consistently well on both sides of the ball. Colts’ QB Philip Rivers was efficient, connecting on 22-of-28 throws for 228 yards, including two TDs to WR Zach Pascal. In his most productive performance of the season, Pascal caught five passes for 79 yards, scoring the two touchdowns in the Week 15 NFL matchup.

Rookie RB Jonathan Taylor continued his stellar season, recording 83 yards on 16 carries while hitting paydirt in the process. Taylor has compiled 233 rushing yards and three touchdowns over his last two games and is on fire lately. The Colts have won three in a row and five of their previous six.

At Cincinnati Bengals

Not even Cincinnati fans had any expectations that its beloved Bengals could upset the Steelers during this past Monday night’s NFL matchup. What a shock we were all in for. The Bengals pounced on the Steelers early, taking a remarkable 17-0 lead into halftime. Cincinnati controlled the clock, pounded the rock, and capitalized on three Pittsburgh turnovers.

Ben Roethlisberger had only completed 7-of-16 passes for 19 yards before the break, and appeared a bit off all game. The entire Steelers’ squad seemed out of sorts, and the Bengals took full advantage (with their third-string QB, Ryan Finley, shown smiling at the camera below after a successful QB sneak attempt for a 1st down). Roethlisberger finished with 170 yards and a touchdown on 53% passing, throwing an interception along the way.

RB Benny Snell Jr. was a silver lining for Pittsburgh, grinding out 84 yards on 18 carries and a TD in relief of James Conner. Snell Jr. also caught three passes for 34 yards, and should be busy vs Indianpolis even if Conner is back. The Steelers need to maintain what little positive momentum they have right now, as the playoffs loom ahead.

Colts vs Steelers Week 16 Betting on the Game

Point Spread

Pittsburgh is 2-4 ATS over its previous six contests, and has looked worse every week since the loss against Washington Football Team. It’s almost like the Steelers’ confidence was zapped once the WFT knocked them off of the undefeated pedestal. Indianapolis is 5-2 ATS on the road in 2020, and is playing much better than Pittsburgh at present. We can reasonably expect the Colts to cover, sending the Steelers to their fourth consecutive defeat in the process.

Moneyline

The Steelers’ 11-0 start is a distant memory. Pittsburgh has gone from being the center of “odds to remain undefeated” discussions, to struggling to secure the AFC North. If the Steelers couldn’t get it together against the Bengals, it won’t be happening against the Colts. Too short of a turnaround, and Indianapolis is too good.

Over/ Under

The statistics lean towards the under, but the over is the smart play here. The total has hit the over in four of the Colts’ five games. Indianapolis will be in the driver’s seat, and Pittsburgh will be stuck playing catch-up again in a low-level shootout during this NFL matchup. Entertaining!
