Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Are Getting the Pay Increase They Deserve!
Finally Getting Paid to Be the Most Iconic Thing About Dallas
Broke WHO?
Turns out dancing for a $10 billion NFL team doesn’t pay the bills—who knew? After years of being wildly underpaid, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders just secured a 400% raise. Apparently all it took was national exposure, public sympathy, and an entire season of America’s Sweethearts to shame someone into doing the right thing.

They announced it on the finale of their hit Netflix series, which felt a little poetic. Megan, a four-year vet, called it “life-changing.” I totally agree, because going from barely covering student loans to finally being compensated for representing the biggest NFL franchise sounds about right.

It’s not clear exactly what their new pay is (thanks to the Cowboys’ ongoing refusal to be transparent), but when you’re making four times more than before, that’s definitely progress.
Netflix Did the Work
Nobody magically decided to give these women more money. They forced the issue, and the Netflix show played a big role.
Jada McLean (who, by the way, almost got evicted while dancing for the richest team in the NFL) was one of the main people pushing for better pay. She said the show gave them a platform: “If there’s any time to do it, it’s now that we are relevant and the world is on our side.”
And she’s right. It’s a little hard to watch women cry into diner pancakes about not being able to pay rent while repping the most iconic uniform in football. So, the Cowboys eventually got the hint. “We’re pleased… that the cheerleaders were happy with the outcome,” said their SVP of Communications. A little dry, but the public will take it.

NFL Picks and Paychecks
All in all, the Cowboys did the bare minimum, and it still felt revolutionary. That’s the state of cheerleader pay in the NFL. But hey, if you’re looking for signs of life in Dallas, there’s one!
The science behind the perfect high kick.

As for NFL picks and predictions, the Cowboys are sitting at +4500 to win Super Bowl LX next season, per NFL betting odds. Not amazing. Not terrible. But if anyone’s winning NFL games next season, it’s the cheerleaders.
They did the impossible: they made NFL news for something that wasn’t a contract dispute or playoff failure. And they did it in lip gloss and booty shorts.
Good for them. And finally, good for the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader’s salary. About time!
