The Dallas Cowboys have thrived in the NFL’s weakest division — also known as the NFC Least — and that’s unlikely to change this season. Well, that’s what the betting online odds seem to suggest right now.
The Cowboys are tipped as the favorites to win the NFC East and they’re projected to crack a 10-game win total, albeit the over and under are priced at -115 as we look at the latest markets.

Week 1 vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, 8:20 p.m. ET
For a second straight year, the Cowboys will open their campaign against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Will home-field advantage yield a different result this time around? The Cowboys will certainly hope so. For the betting, if it comes down to a choice between Dak Prescott and Tom Brady, it’s a no-brainer. Let’s face it, betting against the GOAT is often a fool’s errand. Fun fact: Brady has never lost to the Cowboys in his career.

Week 2 vs Cincinnati Bengals – Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, 4:25 p.m. ET
The Bengals had a good offseason and improved their AFC Championship-winning roster. Whereas the Cowboys appeared to take a step back after losing Amari Cooper and La’el Collins (now in Cincy). The Bengals are talented, young and brimming with confidence after reaching Super Bowl 56 against the odds. Nothing seems to faze Joe Burrow and Co – they’ve got a great vibe about them and they seem to take everything in stride. So, don’t be surprised if the Bengals knock the Cowboys around in Jerry’s World.

Week 3 at New York Giants – Monday, Sept. 27, 2022, 8:15 p.m. ET
The Giants improved in the offseason – on paper. But Daniel Jones doesn’t inspire confidence and with a new coaching staff in place in New York, there are bound to be growing pains for the G-men. The Cowboys should take care of business easily.
Prediction: Win

Week 4 vs Washington Commanders – Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, 1 p.m. ET
Perhaps, the move to the nation’s capital will do Carson Wentz wonders and Ron Rivera will resuscitate the 29-year-old’s flailing career. Hope springs eternal. Still, it’s early in the season for Wentz and there are bound to be growing pains with his new team.

Week 5 at Los Angeles Rams – Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, 4:25 p.m. ET
While the Cowboys are considered to be among the league’s best teams, they’re not scary. They get by well enough against lesser opponents. However, but when faced with a bona fide contender, they are all too often found wanting. The defending Super Bowl champion Rams are predicted to be just as good, if not better, this season.

Week 6 at Philadelphia Eagles – Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, 8:20 p.m. ET
The Eagles improved in the offseason but Jalen Hurts is still under center. By the end of his first full season as a starter (and second in the league), Hurts clearly wasn’t up to snuff — his passing game and decision-making left much to be desired. Case in point: The Cowboys shredded the Eagles, sweeping the series as they outscored Philadelphia 92-47 combined.

Week 7 vs Detroit Lions – Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, 1 p.m. ET
By consensus, the Lions are projected to be a much better team in 2022. But how much better? Enough to descend on the Cowboys at the AT&T Stadium and deliver an upset? Ha! Probably not.
Prediction: Win

Week 8 vs Chicago Bears – Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, 1 p.m. ET
Justin Fields may or may not be the future of the franchise. The jury is out on the second-year quarterback. But when the Bears are giving him so very little to work with, it’s hard to imagine he’ll enjoy a lot of success in 2022. As such, there’s really not much to overthink here.

Week 10 at Green Bay Packers – Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, 4:25 p.m. ET
This should be a very interesting matchup, indeed. Mike McCarthy’s belated return to Lambeau Field to face his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, and the Packers. It’s only taken three years for the league to engineer this happy reunion. What could go wrong?

Week 11 at Minnesota Vikings – Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, 4:25 p.m. ET
This has the hallmarks of a trap game. Kirk Cousins might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the veteran quarterback is a reliable offensive pivot. Add to that the enviable offensive weapons that he has – Justin Jefferson, Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen, to name a few, – along with home advantage, and the Vikings could win this game.

Week 12 vs New York Giants – Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, 4:30 p.m. ET
The Cowboys are generally delighted to see the Giants because they can almost always count on taking the all-important W.

Week 13 vs Indianapolis Colts – Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, 8:20 p.m. ET
The Colts are quite possibly one of the most overrated teams going into 2022. And Matt Ryan, once an MVP back in 2016, is quite possibly well past his sell-by-date. Yes, he’ll have a much better O-line than he’s had during his last few seasons in Atlanta. But, at the same time, the O-line is only ever as good as its offensive pivot. It’s hard to see Ryan being good enough to beat the Cowboys at home, let alone besting the Cowboys’ defense, which is coached by former Falcons head coach Dan Quinn.

Week 14 vs Houston Texans – Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, 1 p.m. ET
The Texans were a four-win team in 2021. According to the oddsmakers, they’re not expected to be much better in 2022, despite making noteworthy improvements.

Week 15 at Jacksonville Jaguars – Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, 1 p.m. ET
Bad teams win games they’re not supposed to win – the Jaguars pulled off such an upset last year when they beat the Buffalo Bills in Jacksonville. By all accounts, the Jaguars are supposed to be better in 2022. What’s more, they have former Eagles head coach Doug Pederson at the helm now. This might not be the easy contest many would have it, never mind a guaranteed win.

Week 16 vs Philadelphia Eagles – Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022, 4:25 p.m. ET
The team with the better quarterback wins this game. The Eagles might be able to avoid being humiliated by the Cowboys, but Prescott should outplay Hurts enough to lead his side to victory.
Prediction: Win

Week 17 at Tennessee Titans – Thursday, Dec. 30, 2022, 8:15 p.m. ET
The Titans are surprisingly underrated ahead of the 2022 NFL season. The Titans romped to the No.1 seed last season, despite missing Derrick Henry in the second half of 2021. Ryan Tannehill is a solid quarterback, if not flashy. Henry is among the most prolific running backs the game has ever seen and they have one of the stoutest defenses in the league. Oh, let’s not forget the head coach of the Year winner Mike Vrabel, too.

Week 18 at Washington Commanders – Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, TBD
So long as Prescott is healthy, he’s the best quarterback in this division. That’s why the Cowboys have thrived in the NFC East since he’s taken over as the offensive pivot. That said, there are no guaranteed wins in the NFL. If there’s a divisional matchup that could throw a spanner in the works, it would be this final game of the season.
